Alrite. Not gonna create new thread so TS, hope u dont mind if i share this thread with ya..

The LCD TVs i've looked into:
Panasonic TH-L32C10K
Samsung LA-32B450 4-series
Sharp LC-32A37M
Phillips 32PFL5409S

So which is recommended and why?

Personally, i like :
Pana C10 for its 2 layer screen = more durable

and Samsung 4-Series for its beautiful colours.

Do comment if u have any experience in any of these LCD TV's.

Thanks in advance.

C10 is cheaper than phillips 5409

RM1499 vs RM1699

*price quoted from Best Denki.

But for this size (32"), quite difficult to find 3 HDMI ports. 2 is common.. Most full HD 32" will have 3 HDMI...

But yet again.. i don't wanna spend a extra bucks for a 32" FHD.. if its a 42", different story.

*sigh.. i guess i'll be going for the C10 for its attractive price then...

oh ya.. before I forget... get the S10K if you're planning to watch Astro

Why is dat so? S10K=FHD, C10K=HD Ready.

But Astro only showing up to 720p or 1080i

Mind to share ur justification?

Hello Everyone,I'm looking into 32" LCD TV as well,TS hope you don't mind i borrowed your thread.

here goes my question:How would you guys thought about the LG 32LF20FR? it seemed like the only 32" which has a Full HD Panel i can find.

FHD or HD ready on a 32" is not noticeable really.. Not worth to consider unless u really need the 1080p reso.

Hmm..

let me put it this way:

32" FHD and 32" HD ready - can't really see the difference when playing a 1080p output. Yes, HD ready tv will drop it to 720p.

42" FHD and 42" HD ready - CAN notice the output quality when playing similar to above file.

THis is due the the pixel mapping on each LCD. Thus, 32" view area is smaller than 42", pixel mapping difference on 32" is too minor compared to 42" view area.

Correct me if im wrong.

Also, black bars is usually caused by the Aspect Ratio (16:9, 4:3, 16:10, etc.)
