PETALING JAYA: Just a week after DiGi.Com Bhd launched its iPhone and declared it had received over 10,000 iPhone orders, its chief executive officer (CEO) Johan Dennelind is calling it a day at the celco and Henrik Clausen (pic) has been appointed his successor.

Dennelind, who has been CEO since 2008 but with DiGi for six years in various other positions, leaves on May 17.

Clausen takes over as CEO on the same day.

No reasons were cited for Dennelind’s departure in a company statement released yesterday.

Clausen is no newcomer to the Telenor Group as he has been CEO of Telenor Denmark since 2000. Telenor has a 49% stake in DiGi.

Clausen was previously a partner in Andersen Consulting and partner at AT Kearney in Denmark.

He also held an MBA from INSEAD, a Masters in electrical engineering from the Technical University of Denmark and a degree in foreign trade from Copenhagen Business School, the statement said.
