but cant apply the same setting as i did applied/stable with my former board sis..not just cant stable, but cant post... cuz before i buy, i have high hopes on this, since few ppl here have this board..

790gx a3+ is one of d easiest board in ram tweakin... almost as simple as plug, set major timing & volt, then test. my pair of geil ultra managed a 1700 w/o sweat on a3+, but on 790fxt, i can only hit 1680. so does that mean biostar > gigabyte?

Its normal when u move from board to board i guess, me moving from B to M then B then to G all mobo's have their own characteristic, Bio for me felt quite easy ram tweaking while Giga donno why feel more stable to me & reliable, MSI is kinda in between i guess

my 2 cents on brands as a newbie (i hardly stick to any brand + chip as long as i wish):

dfi (790fxb-m2rsh) - very stable + tweakable board, hardly reboot when prime, most of d time prime fail instead of illegal shutdown/bsod, infamous w/ code "88" for bios corruption (m'sia batch)

biostar gx boards - ease of ram oc, nb freq clockin not as gud as others, diff type of bios file can be confusin at times (diff format need diff flasher), newer bios better off flashed w/ windows flasher

gigabyte (790fxt-ud5p) - slightly lower mileage for ram, soild in cpu + nb freq oc, ease of bios flashin, no control over pci-e ports

msi - still testin, lack of voltages will cause freeze/illegal shutdown, ease of bios flashin, no control over pci-e ports

asus - no comment as i never use one...

all in all, each brand have their own pros + cons, it depends on how d user compromise w/ d shortcomins imo.

crap, jz went to survey around, ddr3 price is lower than ddr2 d
so tempting to change..poison leh..will it make big difference in gaming/graphic rendering if i were to change from ddr2 ->ddr3?

how low is it ... plus did u see any new gigabyte 770 mobo on the shelf...

dah tagih ngan sata3 + usb3 lah tu...

get non-A model from kunta, i think he wanna sell his... cheaper mah... sata3 + usb3 gimmicks only...

no matter coz i like the latest layout better than UD3P layout ..

fwah... just check d layout... perfect.... but wait...

where is another pci-e slot for gfx...

nice color theme, just like 790fxt...

Yup the newer Giga A770 mobo has better layout than the UD3P, why oh why only now come out

judging from some of the post,the biggest problem of the board is the usb and hd audio port placement.

other than that i think its a good board.

not like that bro..im very sure u know chew* at xs..he said it before..in ram tweaking msi is better then ahsus and giga..and giga is the worst compared to those 2..(i dont think this only apply for low end since he very2 familiar with the cIIIf... )

yup, i know. but they're talkin bout gettin dom gt or other higher/highest end model of ram to run at 8xx/9xx @ cas 6, that's why d "weaker ram tweaking capability" issue shouldn't affect normal users like us. if we got d money to buy those ram, why bother to run amd rig? i5/i7 ftw...
