QUOTE(cain @ Jan 2 2010, 08:25 PM)
We pay by semester. 1 year got 2 long semesters and 1 short semester. Each semester the amount you pay is slightly different depending on the number of subjects you take. Different number of subjects = different number of credit hours. 1 credit hour is around RM480-ish, i forgot the actual numbers.

Usually we take 4 courses during the long semester. Let's say each course is 3 credit hours, 4x3=12, 12x480=RM5760, not including admin fees, lab fees and the likes.

Hope this helps. I'll be helping out with the orientation. See you there if you decide to join us! happy.gif

Thank you cain for helping with the enquiries. Ever thought of becoming a Sunway University College ambassador wink.gif

so, does Bachelor of Psychology has twinning like 1+2/ 2+1?
*
Our BSc(Hons) Psychology programme is a full 3 year course at our campus.

If you prefer a twinning programme, we do have an option for Psychology via our American Degree Transfer Programme.

ahhh! consider me enrolled at sunway U then! rclxms.gif

btw  you can actually compile all the quotes and reply in one post.. click "quote" on all the posts and press "more options" button on the bottom and the quotes will be all there and just reply each of them, so u dont have to manually quote one by one and post them seperately.. smile.gif
*
I prefer doing it manually due to flood control. Also, it helps for other n00bs like me when replying wink.gif

Thanks for the concern. Do drop by this week for enrollment wink.gif

I'd like to know if I were to take up Diploma in performing arts, are there any universities in the UK where I could transfer for degree course?
*
The university in UK will accept transfers based on their own requirements. Therefore, depending on the university, they may or may not accept the diploma programme.

But we do have arrangements with Deakin University and University of Tasmania in Australia and also University of Lethbridge in Canada for degree courses.

*
Are you referring to the Oxford Brookes University degree done under ACCA? If yes, you DO get exemptions for the Knowledge modules (6 papers)

IF I'd want to take a pre-u course like A levels or SAM but I didn't get 5 credits as required by the college and got like 4 credits only for example, will there be any way that I could still enter?
*
Unfortunately no, but you can still enter our diploma programmes. Then you can continue to a degree from there.

i realize for ur ADTP program, u guys have connection with memorial university st john, canada. Can i know, if i take your ADTP, how much is the tuition fee structer like for memorial in business course, as well as in engineering. thx!
*
As mentioned before, we go by credit hour. So one credit hour is RM480. The number of credit hours will depends on the courses you take that can be transferred to Memorial University.

Do drop by our campus with your SPM forecast / other academic transcripts if any to check to see whether you are eligible for exemptions. We can calculate your course fees better.

Hi SunwayUUUUU, got question about victoria uni. how are the student population studying for that particular uni? is it good? are there extra curricular activities run by VU student councils? if i want to take accounting (not ACCA) which would u recommend? VU or Lancester?
*
1) About student population, are you asking about Sunway students or students in Melbourne?

2) Good, depends on what you want to do, and what your preferences are. wink.gif

3) Yes, the VU student council is active. They hold annual dinners amongst other activities.

4) Between VU or Lancaster, it depends on whether you are looking to go overseas or not. Lancaster is a full degree that allows you exemptions to ICAEW but it is finished locally. Because VU is a twinning programme, your chances of transferring to an Australian university is higher.

i understand dat sunway offers a degree in accounting and finance, wat's the difference between dat and degree in accounting by the way ?
looking forward to reply.
*
A degree in Accounting and Finance is a mixture of Accounting and Finance subjects.

Whereas, a degree in accounting is purely accounting based subjects.

Heyy, im referring to the population of Sunway VU students.
So if i have plans to go overseas to finish my studies i only have the option of choosing VU because Lancester doesnt offer transfers?
*
1) The Sunway VU population differs based on batches, but usually for the whole year we have a few hundred new students.

2) Yes, the Lancaster programme isn't a transfer programme. You also can choose the American Degree Transfer programme if you'd like to go overseas.

hello, can you tell me what is the requirements to gain 1st class (hons) in Bsc OBU? (the average results in ACCA) Is it averagely 68marks and above?
*
The marks will be determined by the University. Therefore, you will have to check again. But by the time you have fulfilled the required papers from ACCA to qualify for the BSc OBU then you are already a 2nd Class Upper. So your final thesis will gain you 1st class.
