Hello, I'm currently in my first semester of the BAF programme. I'm planning to transfer to the Victoria University's Bachelor of Business programme. I have already paid a visit to the VU department, and they told me credit transfer would be possible as my first semester subjects are similar to the first year subjects of the VU programme. My only concern is that I'm currently under PTPTN loan, I have checked the PTPTN website..and it states that transfer of course that doesn't require the student to repeat semester may be considered. So I'm wondering whether it is possible or not? Thank you.

Hi there. Yes, you will need your school to chop and certify for you.

Students (for pre-u courses) that are taking science subjects (chem, bio , phy) are asked to buy lab coats .
My friends and i were told that it would cost around RM 35 and would be less than RM 40.
But yesterday while my friends and i are photocopying documents at the photocopy shop beside the book store at the cafeteria , the man(my b the boss) told
us that we can get our lab coats there , and so we bought it . It cost us RM 50 for one lab coat instead of RM 35.
However , today my lecturer told all the students in the class that he will take order frm us and it cost us RM 35 , not RM 50. When i told my lecturer
about this he said he had no idea about this.
(for students , don't buy the lab coat at the photocopy shop , get it frm your lecturer to save money)
for the school , the photocopy shop are apparently selling the lab coat far more expensive than it should be .This is not right because many students are getting it without knowing that it cost much cheaper than RM50 (most students getting new lab coats are new students and do not know exactly where to get the lab coat) . From the view of a consumer , the photocopy shop is wrong by selling the lab coat at higher price to students(consumers) that have no idea about it . This is unfair too for studentS that had bought the lab coats at the photocopy shop. I hope that this can be lodged as a complaint and immediate action will be taken by the school. Thanks.

snork: I believe that your lecturer is getting directly either from the supplier, or buying in a larger amount (bulk) due to the number that he have to handle (lab coats). As for the photocopy shop, obviously they do need to earn as well, else if they were to sell you at the cost price, how are they going to pay their rental =/

Well, I believe that you should have consulted your lecturer first, before making any decision, especially when your friends told you that you could get at a lower rate. However, you chose not to consult first, and buy straight, therefore I think it's you to be blamed.

Hi there. You can register for AUSMAT March intake by this month. Just bring along your forecast/actual result (a minimum of 5 credits), IC, Photo and the application and registration fee of RM700.

However, we will be closed during weekend and public holidays from now till March 2012.
