I'm new to subwoofer, does the quantity of ports matter? some subwoofers come with 2 ports while some subwoofers come with 3 ports

@Danny,
apart from an amp, it's better to have a low/high pass filter to protect the driver if you have a powerful amp @geforce1999 peasant like me can afford to run single sub only, can't compared to all the elites & taikors here however, a single sub perhaps equal to/better than 1.5 or 2 SVS PB13Ultra?
