Initial test on stereo, its AQ does surpass something I already had in my HT room.

And here's the surround :

The other one is Sonus Faber Concerto Domus. previously as surround spkrs.

Genese and Esprit EX range look similar but AQ is very different. On another note, sold off Antal EX and Comete EX today to an elite in Puchong. He came to audition. Not bad for a start.

Yaya it's an SF speaker. Taukeh, it's time to get a better camera for low light shooting. Your triangle would look even more sexier.
Is that your bro's SF? The elite that you mentioned gotta be the one who owns AE4000 and PB13 liao... :thunbs: He must be very happy with his new toy now. biggrin.gif
*
He went back to hometown in Ipoh. I will deliver the Triangle once he is back.

Now, I am using the Genese range. You really need to come and audition. Here are the new setup. Stereo is indeed very good now.

Anyway, I'll use a proper digicam to snap more photos (including w/o grill) tomorrow. Watched Percy Jackson, Foster and Friends. Also, listen to a few CDs. Really a whole new experience. Very satisfied with both stereo and movies smile.gif

Big in sound too. The Quartet is simply amazing. A big step up from Antal Ex, which is already very good. Don't trust me. Please come and audition tongue.gif

Time to invite more hi-end audiophiles to come and audition. Must get their opinions.

Thus far, the comments have been good since a few of them are quite straight forward.

I guess that you are referring to 'Phase' switch. If your sub is in front, then set to normal. If it is at the back of your LP, then reverse.

On lighter note, I think my Mordaunt Short Mezzo looks identical to Triangle Quartet. Observe the tweeter design on top & the curve shape of the speaker box based on the same philosophy to minimize resonance.

Who's copying who  hmm.gif ? Wonder how the 2 pits against each other in pure stereo mode.  rclxms.gif  tongue.gif  Care for a shoot-out?
Htkaki must have lots of comments on above statement.....hahaha. Don't flame me.

laugh.gif One is high-end loudspeakers and another is entry level tongue.gif You want me to comment meh?

Anyway, wait for you to come here next year. Maybe, I will be using a pair of monoblock by then. Auditioned a high-end hifi system yesterday. Learning more on high-end systems.

On another note, my system might be 9.2 by this Sunday. Now, it is on 9.1. It is really a step up from my 7.1 (with Front Wide). The addition of Front Height really add better ambiance thumbup.gif

I have been using rear surround for years until the Audyssey DSX.

Out of itchiness and curiosity, I tested out the DSX Wide. Instantly, hooked on it. I get better surround ambiance than using rear surr. In this case, the front soundfield seems to be wider than the room. It is very expansive sound compare to the conventional 7.1 that 'choked' up the front.

I am going to use a pair of bipole surround spkrs soon (have to wait for shipment). This will give better surround envelopment.

The best part for DSX is that you do not need the BD to be encoded in 7.1. Forum member, butter finger is a lucky dude since he is the first one to experience DSX Wide and Height. He came in right after I have finished with the setup and calibration.

I let him experience the difference; with DSX Wide and Height, DSX Wide only, w/o DSX. He is impressed with the 9.1.

Actually, there is a customer who intend to buy this sub. I was surprised that he was being turned down. Apparently, this model is not being imported.

terra, pulling the trigger? tongue.gif Good review indeed. The only thing with Emo is that the after sales service and getting them to reply (esp for us here) is quite a pain.

Previously, we did buy its power amp. Not a very smooth sailing transaction for a number of us. It would have been whole lot better if its cust service is top notch. Maybe they do not have enough staff / employees. Just my guess.

Reminds me of Mark Seaton. Can't blame this great sub guy since his company is small and he is almost 'one leg kick' (if you get what I mean). I do believe that his company will grow bigger and hopefully with enough resources, he could hire a good cust service team.

The tube membrane bass traps are the most effective treatment of all bass traps available. However, not easy to get one. The one that I had is no longer in business.

I will take photos and show you.
