QUOTE(skiddtrader @ Nov 18 2010, 04:43 PM) Special Dividend eh? Serious or not? Last year 2009 they released Nov 19. Maybe this year the same. I always assume last week of the month though. No update from Mr Yeoh on special div. Just I hope at least give us something especially since I'm expecting good Q report. Else, just increase the div payout to 0.30 per year or give us 50-50 sharing in the earnings. Anyway, got rumours that might bring the share price up. I just realized it today.

QUOTE(darkknight81 @ Nov 18 2010, 07:16 PM) Ya ya special dividend like last quarter 0.1875 cents Reasons simple they just not willing to share the profit with minority shareholders Geram for quite sometimes already. Will join you guys some where at RM 2.30 Enjoying reading My arreit 2009 annual report now. I requested on monday they pos laju to me and today receive liaw The price of the warrant suggests that YTLP could go beyond 2.73 after the div payout. Not sure when we will hit that though

QUOTE(June_llk @ Nov 19 2010, 09:02 AM) you forgotten to multiply the P/E ratio, say 15x then reflected price shld be 45sen up from RM2.3 As I mention earlier, the good things have yet to come... Mind sharing your optimism towards YTLP? I also want to know what is the good things...example like new acquisition? Definitely I don't hope is Wimax, though I secretly hope Wimax can contribute positively to the earnings aka our div. Thanks.

QUOTE(ost1007 @ Nov 20 2010, 03:08 PM) After EPF stopped selling, YTLPower may boost up to certain level. Just matter of time. How far it would go? 3, 4 or 5? Depend on the coming report and response of Recent WIMAX product launched. I would think that currently YTLP will stay between 2.4-2.7 like last time when it was stucked at 2.1-2.3 for very long time with only some times surging towards 2.5 during Q report and div announcement then pullback to 2.3 or lower. Now should be the same, with on and off moving to 2.80. I secretly hope it will go beyond rm3 though.

QUOTE(third_princess @ Nov 23 2010, 06:49 PM) No one can really give you the answer for that. If anyone of us know, we will be richer than WB already What you need to know is study this counter and then see whether it is worth your money. Like WB say, "price is what you pay, value is what you get"

QUOTE(darkknight81 @ Sep 25 2011, 09:16 PM) Wimax cannot turnaround in short period. Will tooks at least few years. However, i am anticipating on the outcome of Indonesia new coal plant bid for YTLP. Hi, do you intend to average YTLP based on current market sentiment? I'm thinking if it falls to 1.6 or lower, maybe I can start to buy back.

QUOTE(darkknight81 @ Sep 25 2011, 09:51 PM) Nope. Will buy more YTL CORP instead as i have enuff YTLP. YTLCORP share prices follow YTLP most of the time as 75% of its earnings contributed by YTLP. Reasons for buying YTLCORP - It is more diversified and provides higher growth track record compare with YTLP. Why not Arreit since YTLP/YTL div is sux at the moment? YTLCRAP, i think I will only consider if it falls near to RM1. Else, I still view it as expensive

QUOTE(darkknight81 @ Sep 25 2011, 10:24 PM) Reits? Er.....personal view only ya. I try not to buy reits even though dividend looks good. But personally i feel not safe of putting my money into reits. Reasons behind: 1. Reits only invest in Malaysia which is expose to single country risk. 2. Property bubble due to low interest rates. Etc ... I know ytlp and ytlcorp dividend sux.... However, as long as the company growth are sustainable then shouldn't be any problem. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ But YTLP invested in both Asia (Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia) and Europe (England) & even jordan oil shale..etc. At the moment, I do not see any light in YTLP, reason I sold it also and I was in fact frustrated with the div slashed to 50%. Regarding property bubble, I think as long as the REIT is having a safe gearing, should be ok gua.

I do not see any fundamental issue with YTLP at the moment, just to me, the div is too low already which force me to exit. And YES, like what Cherroy say, might not be profitable in near future and with the situation not looking too bright, I think I can find better investment elsewhere.
