i7 (dual and quad) = HTT + Turbo
i5 500 = HTT + Turbo
i5 400 = Turbo only
i3 300 = none

Notice my taskbar, when I select the folder windows, it became a list, instead of image of the windows.

Any idea to set it back?

HTT = emulate logical core to better utilize idle CPU resources... 1 physical core can have 2 logical cores with HTT...

Turbo Boost = shutting down unused core and oc the CPU, while maintaining at the same TDP...

well, i guess it's juz bad coding on the software side... though i would expect to see no such problem since Aero is not sth new...

maybe u juz take note of how that would happen...

so.. i7 has 4 cores and can split up to 8 cores after ht..

i5 have 2 or 4 cores?

The last happened to me when I have some problem installing the driver for 9600m, then I noticed got this problem.

i7 comes in 2 flavours...

the 700, 800 and 900 series, which are quaddies...

and also the 600 series (which include the low voltage and ultra low voltage version of the Arrandale), which are dual...

i5 and i4 are strictly duals...

so.. i7 do also have culv proc huh..

err.. i guess thats a typo right.. so for i5, it should be for lower end notebook, and i7 will be performance notebook?
