should we put D or S when we want to use manual 7gear?

No rules, both also can. It's just a different driving feel only, so depends which you prefer

7 speed mode is make your gear more responsive, rpm climbs quicker ,swifter for good acceleration cause power comes quickly, sort of on-demand
S is will make the rev higher than D, so easier to high rpm/redline/WOT/extract more power and torque-----IINM

D+7s = normal driving +gear more responsive
S+7s = more aggressive mode

IMHO
7s for max accerelation
S for top speed/max power

Hey guys. I get used to drive manual car most of the time because for me.... manual is easy.... perhaps..haha tongue.gif
Recently I'd bought Honda City and I discovered that it has 7 speed gear mode, and also honda might have problem with its gear box.
Hence, I need some advice from you guys how to use the 7 speed gear mode effectively to avoid unwanted problems.
Does it used when it is climbing mountain?

Waaaa...you bought liao only you discovered it has 7speed mode kah....wat else discover after you bought it...? did you find out there is a hidden tire in the trunk? And the seats FUyoh, can lipat2 1 like the akrobat...

If you feel sluggish when uphill, sure you can use 7s...wont spoil one...the gearbox actually very tough de...lastime I attended a honda seminar held by Soichiro Honda, he sed har....the City gearbox har...can tahan 160HP one...so no problem no matter how you dribe it coz he said har, he got give it brein so it has AI one...only that if you give it drink ATF oil instead of CVTF oil then only the AI will fall sick then the CVT also haywire and damage

U should concern more whether the previous owner feed the AI what health drink
Especially if it was model before 2005 batch coz Honta automotive health division only updated their knowledge database of what the AI actually preferred drink in 2005 and over.
