 Need help in reducing pc noise

my pc is currently producing loud noise,i think this probably due to the fan and my hard disk,or the power supply,any idea on how to reduce it??And i saw a product few days ago on the net called AcoustiPack,but my problem is,will this product trap heat inside my pc??And where can i buy this product in penang??THANK YOU!!! biggrin.gif

recommend change to a more silent fan. Soundproofing Material often are not temperature friendly.

Take a look for ur casing air ventilation, some casing have a bad air ventilation thus the fan keep on circulating hot air & system will force the fan to work harder = louder noise.

Agreed with mellovicious = Soundproofing Material often are not temperature friendly.

just buy the CASE SILENCER / SOUND ABSORBER from niclasteoh.. it can absorb noise from the fan itself biggrin.gif

what proc do u use?
maybe this will help
-change fan setting in BIOS
-OR change cpu heatsink (usually stock heatsink produce loud sound)
-throw away/get rid of unnecessary fan(use 12cm is better n quieter)

1 of my 120cm fan also produce buzzing sound, so i took a doubletape(the foamy 1) and put it in 4 corners, it works for me..biggrin.gif
