Even if its an enterprise, also need company secretary?
I opt for enterprise rather than sdn bhd to cut cost on this secretary fees in the 1st place..

No ways for me to do my own accounting, and submit those borang B and P for LHDN purpose?
*
As a registered business - sole proprietor or partnership - you dont need a company secretary, or have audited accounts. yes, save a lot of money.

but your records must be all done properly. you can do it on your own or outsource it. if you need help in this area, we can discuss.

cheers, eric.

Want to know more bout company car.

Currently worked for my parent's company. Company get me a car.

May i know how soon i can sell the car so tat i wun get tax?
*
If im not mistaken -

if you are given a company car - you must pay tax as a benefit-in-kind - e.g. if the benefit is rated at RM1,000, then you are taxed on that amount.

If the company has been transferred to your name - then technically when you sell it, the profit is taxable as an income on your part.

You cant run from taxes.... brows.gif

Whoa, didn't know that it will cost that much!
What about the cost for registering enterprise then?

& I am wondering, can enterprise open bank account?
Or only company can open bank account?
*
for a Sdn Bhd the cost is around RM 2,500 payable to the company secretary. they will take care of everything including advising you on share capital, that's minimum RM2.

keep in mind that SDn Bhd can be expensive so you have to see your future business plan and profits. there's monthly secretarial fee, annual audit fee, proper record-keeping... but i suppose if u gonna make lotsa money, a few thousand should be no problem, right?! thumbup.gif

for sole prop / partnership, i think less than 200, just walk in SSM and fill in the forms with the names of business you have in mind.

bank account, no problem, just bring in the SSM forms to the bank with the money to open the account with. depends on bank, maybe 500 - 1000.

hope that helps

Registering your business is one thing. then you have to apply for business operating licence from the municipal council for each premise you operate from.

Hi, I'm in the process of converting sole prorietary to Sdn Bhd.
I would like to know how the tax thing with sdn bhd.
The question is,

The company has 2 directors whom do the work.
Should make them as employee of the company with fixed salary and EPF?
Or just use Director drawings as salary payout?

If use Directors drawings, will it be considered cost of business(tax less) ?

Your co sec / auditor should be able to give you the best advice for all this.

I have some products thinking to place in some shops to sell. Commission will be given for each item sold out. Seems the money can only collect after the products sold-out, any doc i need to get them sign to confirm the quantity sold are syn as the number that i placed there?

Thinking to grow up my online biz by place the products at shop..
Need expert to advise.. Thx
*
You will give the seller a Consignment Note whereby they will confirm the number of items received from you. Then when you collect back the items after a period, they pay you for the difference. simple.

what kinda products you doing?

what do u guys think of introducer fees for design. is it worth it to introduce a client and get 10% discount only. i think it should be more right ? a client may do repeat business so for 10% to introduce the client only  , do u think it's too low. the supplier will benefit from future sales of this client. all future sales has no more commission from supplier anymore.
*
Depends on how its worked out btw principal and introducer / sales agent. it can be 10% first-time fee, then perhaps 5% on every subsequent billing from the principal. Question is how to keep track of future sales. Your principal must be honest to disclose this.

What business  to start? Here's a human's hierarchy of needs. The pyramid above is based on Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs. Starting from the bottom line is every human's basic needs. Food, water and sex for example. These type of business nature will NEVER run out of business. No matter how poor you are, you still need to eat and drink. Human needs to have sex too. Target these and I assure you this will be your first good step to go.  smile.gif

Nice reading all the experiences shared here! I hope to open a shop too one day, but I'm not sure what should I do if I open a shop, there are a few questions:

1) Other than license and money, what do we need to open a shop?

2) How do we maintain accounts or cash flow of the shop? Do we hire an accountant?

hi, assuming you have a sole prop / partnership:

1) Business bank account is good to keep things separate from your personal

2) Accounts - for sole prop the business and you is one and the same.

Sales less Costs and expenses, it is all yours as Profit.

You can of course give yourself monthly drawings and leave the balance in the business bank acct (that's why its better to have its own).

Good luck!

For a small enterprise , Home business. How to keep track of customer sales record and Stocks Inventory ?

let say i want to have my stocks and accounting combine together . So that i know the profits and stocks availability. Should i get Excel templates or invest in software?

Assuming Sales is 1-2 customers per day and not much of computing at the moment . No need invoice as items will be sold in Cash or bank in.

I don't think i  want to invest in expensive software yet. any cheaper solution beside using manual work like Excel. tq
*
Invest in software for the long-term rclxms.gif

But of course i'd recommend that... apart from software, then its Excel, keep all your bills and receipts, then at end of year pay someone to do the accounting for you. Either way there's always costs involved.
