hmmm i am thinking whether to take over a mini mart or not... here is the info i have gathered
rental: RM1800 daily sales: including top-up about RM1k-1.2k/day Competition: On the same row of shoplot, there are no other mini mart but opposite shoplots there are speedmart99, 7-11, etc. Behind the shop lot are housing area, double storey houses worth about RM600-800k according to iproperties. So target group is middle class income? 1 existing staff (mininum wage RM800?) electrical and water bills: RM350 no cctv & pos system. i understand profit margin is pretty low in this industry especially top ups, but is this a good choice? if i do purchase this business i have around RM9-10k emergency cash on hand |

QUOTE(fasionoval @ Mar 20 2012, 09:24 PM) how much is the take over fees? include stock? include rental deposit?what thype of minimart is it?i have manage a minimart for more than 5 years.have seen a few. take over is around RM35k not including rental deposit, but i tried to negotiate down to RM30k, the owner said will think about it this week... yeah include existing stocks, i would say about 60% stocks... just a normal malay mini mart without aircon and glass door... i was thinking of using existing sales to bring in new stocks... i have this crazy idea to compete with speedmart99, instead of competing with them for what they have, why not sell what they DON'T have? if i were to take over this shop, my long term plan is move all the mini mart groceries stuff at one side, the other side sell different stuffs, maybe bakery, fruits, etc. the shop is pretty big in the meantime i will scout for other mini marts for sale big decisions This post has been edited by Humorboy: Mar 21 2012, 05:37 PM |
