i just got a pre-approved credit card from standard chart probably because of having existing accounts with them. it got my interest when it said that it will give 150rm for my 1st swipe, however when i looked at the annual fee (although free for first 2 years) i decided to give it a pass as i dont think i am willing to bleed that much every year (annual fee+service tax).

i guess now banks are quite desperate for customers and started giving pre-approved cards even to normal customers like me. the card has a nice design to it though .
