Eon bank accept my CC cancellation instruction over the phone no
need to fax letter. But after cancellation I realised that I still have some rewards points unclaimed. This post has been edited by aeiou228: Feb 2 2010, 04:37 PM |

QUOTE(kanethesun @ Feb 2 2010, 05:25 PM) 45k+Went over to EON bank Pavillion card center to redeemed RM100 tesco vouchers and RM100 giant vouchers for 42k points and now left with 3k points. Can't redeem anything with 3k points I guess it will be gone to waste. This post has been edited by aeiou228: Feb 2 2010, 10:34 PM |

Another counter offer for the government tax from Citibank today for my Shell Citibank Visa and Giant Citibank Visa.
1) Pump up to RM600 (from march to May) at Shell on my Shell card and get bonus cash rebate of RM64.(on top of the usual 2.5% rebate) 2) Spend RM600 in 3 months (March to May) and get bonus cash rebate of RM60 (on top of the usual 2% rebate) I guess we don't have to rush for the cc cancellation after all. |

QUOTE(alexwsk @ Mar 22 2010, 07:27 PM) CTB can give you many cards but all the cards are under one LOC (line of credit).QUOTE(choco-cream @ Mar 22 2010, 10:27 PM) hi all, No harm trying isn't it ?would like to seek for an advice on credit card. i'm new to working life and yet to get a credit card. the credit card purpose is to ease the payment when i do business trips. however, i've just worked for 1 mth plus, but have 2 mths pay slips (which are not full amount, as i only worked for few days the 1st mth) would wanna ask whether can i still apply for credit card even with small amount of credit in my bank account??? and, which is the best credit card? Go for cards that offer cash rebates for petrol or grocery spending. |

QUOTE(choco-cream @ Mar 23 2010, 08:56 AM) what documents do i need to apply credit card normally? I personally prefer CTB shell and giant because I have quite a spending on Petrol and grocery. Your spending may be different from me therefore chose a card that gives you the best rebates on item you spend most.aeiou228, which credit card offers those =p thx |

QUOTE(muscaa @ Mar 23 2010, 09:27 PM) it's good practice that before you go overseas, assign someone in Msia (preferably family member) to help & call the bank if there is problem with credit card (eg. loss). I don't see the logic. Why not just call the bank directly ? Bank's customer service 03 pre fix phone number can be reached by anyway in the world. I doubt the 3rd party can act on your behalf to liaise with the bank. |

QUOTE(The Red Queen @ Mar 26 2010, 02:11 PM) Anyone come across 0% Balance Transfer for more than 6 months, other than CIMB & Public? Maybe due to communication error ? I canceled cc from OUB, CTB, OCBC and EON, only EON bank can accept over the phone verbal cancellation and the customer service officer simply key into the system and confirm the cancellation on the spot. The three other bank requires fax-in cancellation letter. You must call the banks again to reassure they received your letter after faxing. Both OUB and CTB failed to receive my fax transmission twice. Added on March 26, 2010, 2:16 pmI cancelled my Hong Leong bank by calling their customer service 1 month before my card anniversary date. The following month, I receive their statement with RM50 charged to my supposedly already cancelled account!! I called them up and was told that to officially close my card account, I must either write in or fill up the card cancellation form! Should I pay the RM50? |
