I was directed here by moderator to discuss about "Maybank Credit Card for purchasing Dell Lap Top".
Re-explain my situation:
> I am new to this "credit card" thing. > I just started work for 3 months. > Salary almost Rm2k. > I want to buy Dell lap top online (0% interest).
How long will I be able to get my credit card approved to be used?
I want to hear from those with experience in this matter.
Thank you all in advance for your cooperation.

QUOTE(jphlau @ Jan 8 2010, 09:10 AM) @Bizmind, if you are still on your job probation, then the likelihood of approval is non-existing. GOSH!! I am still in probation period!! Looks like I need to borrow someone else's CC. ZZZZZZ!!! Added on January 8, 2010, 10:36 amQUOTE(hye @ Jan 8 2010, 08:55 AM) @ Bizmind Being new to the job may pose a slight problem but you can try. If you want to get 0% interest from Dell then that leaves you with just Maybank and Citibank cards. Speed of cc application approval is dependant on whether your documents are complete or not and this can range from 2 weeks to 2 months on a worst case scenario. Being 3 months into the job, banks will ask for just about everything. Citibank have a 1 hour processing but you have to go to the main branch in Menara Ctitibank Jalan Ampang (correct me folks if the facility is no longer available) and they will ask you to print out your EPF on the spot. I can't remember whether there's any additional condition to this. Good luck! And do remember not to built debts so early into your job. I just want the lap top. After finish paying the lap top, I will terminate this DANGEROUS CC.. This post has been edited by Bizmind: Jan 8 2010, 10:36 AM

What is the chance for 2 years contract government servant with basic salary of Rm1900 to apply for Maybank CC? (Need it for the Dell 0% interest for buying lap top online)
p.s. Lazy to ask bank as they are not straight forward people.

QUOTE(aeronlim @ Feb 8 2010, 09:33 AM) If your salary is bank in using Maybank, then the chance that success is high. Last time my salary not even have RM1.4k, but they still send me a letter to offer me a card. Nice. I will ask the management where will they bank in my salary. Hehe. Thanks.
