Although it stands consistently high due to positive earnings, I guess the "feel-good" factors would be faded after the results 2molo due to the heavy selling pressure in the mkts. It is still not too late to buy later.

Iis not a surprise at all. Of course, would b good if u look at look at YoY comparison, something tht is expected oredi. U look at QoQ, it is totally flattish. Revenue-wise, it even declined.
Meaning tht, the earnings for 2Q is actually a decline, but thanks to some saving in cost. It managed to stay marginally flattish. |

Added on May 18, 2012, 10:27 pmWe are all here to share and make gain together. Pls dunn ever provide misleading info for the sake of ur personal interest. (eg. Bro Killtrader, said there are a lot lot of big fish coming in. I am going to prove u wrong). Well, the fact proves it totally wrong, today given the lowest volume and the share down my 5.7% All of us should b humble and share the right info. Can't we? For ur info, gas is a price-controlled item in Malaysia. The cost of buying n selling price are fixed by govt. Before this, the company is doing well, enjoying good earnings margin. However, since the new revision implemented last year, the earnings margin is getting thinner n thinner, down from 26% in 2010 to 9.5%. It is bcz the rise of selling price is lower than the rise of buying price. Hence, i am confidence to say tht the earnings is expected to drop by 40% this year. If u read last sat's the star, the management also admitted the drop of earnings this year. Hong Leong's Research also came out with the IPO note, confirming my stance. Even though they have attractive dividend payout, but earnings is coming down, so, dividend yield is expected to b 4% compared to 8% in FY11.

LOL. For ur info, the listing is fully offer for sale. Bcz the parent's company, MMC Corp, which is also the largest shareholder of Gas Malaysia, wants to pare down its debt level. Hence, any listing fund raised will go to MMC Corp, no proceeds go to Gas Malaysia.... Their expansion relies on Petronas, which is the only supplier of natural gas in malaysia. So, if Petronas wanna expands its network in Malaysia, Gas Malaysia will also set the pipe nearby.
