Hey there are many here man! I suspect because the original SF4 tourney thread was in the Playstation subforum, and I guess nobody expected it to be outside that subforum. I myself only found out about this thread this afternoon.

Alan, how about just taking the National Champ prize over the next level?
If your team are able to secure an airline company (or maybe just an airline travel agency) as one of the co-sponsor, this is what I had in mind:

National Champ gets RM10,000 and free flight tickets to Vegas for EVO 2010 (in July)
If lucky, can get exhibition match against EVO champ 2009

p.s. just 3 flight tickets only maa for hotel and food, the champ team already got RM10k, they can pay for himself there

But sucks if he's the only guy not knowing anyone there. Who's gonna accompany him? Unless he's real close to someone from shoryuken.com then ok la. Or if Alan makes it a team event then at least not that bad if all 3 go (but must buy 3 tickets)

Getting the exposure for the game is all I'm rooting for here, to help build the players of Malaysia since its been long forgotten at times. Still need to know if its SSF4 or SF4 in this tourney? Coz SSF4 should be on March 2010 not Feb

How about SBO style tag team. Winners get prize money & ticket to Evo & SBO to show them Malaysia Boleh!

Why not just base the tournament on this, with some fine tuning here and there to suit your needs. One advantage of this is if we do send our winners to Evo, then at least they are quite used to the format/system.

I think Alan's been using something like the Evo2k standard for all the tournies, still depending how big is the turn out gonna be. Also, the standard can apply even though theres a 2v2 or 3v3. Time needed will be longer though if theres too many teams

There should not be any limitation to configure, whether using joypads or joysticks. That is how EVO2k does it.
