Yeap, my cousin has one, almost 1 years old as well, still going strong  nod.gif
Anyway, sorry to hear about your problem... did you extend your warranty upon purchase? Or is your unit subjected to promotional warranty extension during that time? If you're not sure you can always call Teledynamics and tell them your model number and serial number (should be stated underneath your laptop).. they can check for you whether you're eligible for warranty...

In the meantime, do back up all your stuffs just in case the HDD suddenly gone...
If you're brave enough, you could always install a new HDD urself  nod.gif

yes,i got extra 2 years free warranty(promo)

so,thats mean i should get external hardisk n copy all my data(in my pc) into it?

i am quiet confused with Windows Backup and Restore utilities. rclxub.gif

Yes, usually they will charge for transportation fees because that's not included in the warranty terms and conditions.... changing the HDD will be free though ^^
Anyway, just curious, what happened to your lappy?  hmm.gif
*
hard disk failing..always got "WINDOWS DETECTED HARD DISK PROBLEM" at startup. vmad.gif

really hope they put other brand than Toshiba hdd! unsure.gif

Welcome back  laugh.gif
All the OS and drivers are stored within the backup hidden partition in the HDD  hmm.gif
You can use the "Recovery Media Creator" to backup everything  nod.gif
Windows System Restore will restore your Windows back to a time where everything still works (or something like that) haha
*
need to create new recovery dvd or not since i got one for the previous hdd?
