I downloaded my Value Added Package from a blog which is providing a lot of toshiba related information, i dont remember the url any more but i got it from google. It's a blog hosted by blogspot.

Yep, the speaker is...nice. Hahaha...Even at 40% it's louder than the max of my previous laptop. Plus, there's this dolby control centre that can tweak a bit of the surround sound. Wahahaha...

Toshiba really had too many preloaded software...my machine is super slow on startup. sad.gif Upon logging into windows...

Btw, T.J, you uses U2 ? Wouldnt it be a lil bit too small for the F60 ? Or just nice ? Cause it seems U3 will be more sufficient for a laptop this big. Although U2 support up to 17" if i'm not wrong.

My Speaker is gone ! It's burst. I dunno how to explain in english but it's burst. Once it's over 40% of volume every sound became like that. I didnt turn on the volume very loud except for just once when i was trying it, normally i kept it around 40-60%. It just burst out of sudden after i turn on my laptop sad.gif

I think it might be caused by a sudden lag which had caused the music that was playing jerked suddenly...i mean, it's like, when the load is heavy and playing music at the same time, suddenly the music hangs for a while a produce something like noise, not too high pitch though, just...i dunno how to explain but i think you guys might know.

And now my speaker is gone...i cant think of a way except to send it back to Toshiba and have them fix it for me sad.gif
D*mn it it's not even 24 hours !

Arrrrggghhhh !!! Damn it i cant believe it !!!!!

Still can use, but when the volume goes over 40% then the defects in speaker is very obvious. Apparently some portion of the speaker is spoilt. I dunno what cause this problem, whehter it's related to the transformer-sound couldnt be sure also...wonder why am i so f**king lucky to get all these problem like dead pixel and defective speaker. D*mn annoyed. Ooops...seems like i used too much of vulgar words.

T_T so sad. I'm on holiday now but my new semester is coming soon...i'm afraid i dont have enough time to get this fixed before my new semester starts next next week (18th).

I've been watching drama with my laptop for hours (abt 3-4 hours) and now before i sleep i tried my speaker again and it seems to be working well again even at 100% volume. While i was watching drama it was at 40% all the time.

Could it be the speaker need a bit of warm up or kinda like burn in too ? Strange it's working well now.

Try disable some device like wireless, ethernet one by one, see which one can reduce the latency...
or try to update driver to latest one, usually that one helps..
Sounds like MMU laugh.gif
or not?

Off topic: Yep, MMU. smile.gif

I tried to play using external speaker and it sounds fine sad.gif
Maybe is some defect for the speaker, wiring ? aint sure about it. Sigh...it seems i cant avoid from sending it back to be checked.
Now the problem wouldnt gone even i've been using the laptop for hours and played music for hours...it's still the defective sound. I dont believe harman/kardon will blow up so easily too, but it seems we can only know what's the problem after sending it for diagnose. If i send it to Teledynamics @ Shah Alam by myself will it be faster ? Within a day, possible ?
Cause if i send back to the shop i buy it'll take very long i think.

Btw, for the extended warranty of 2nd and 3rd years i have to use a coupon ? I didnt get any coupon, the people in the shop told me i just have to register online. sad.gif The answer they gave is very unclear. Kinda lost...sifus give some advice please. Thanks biggrin.gif

I participated in the even t but i didnt saw any coupon or so. Yep, i registered at pc.toshiba for the warranty already, but strange it is when i checked for my warranty it's showed it started from May 2010, same with some previous post that i have read before.
Yep, already created the recovery disc.

UPDATES: I just check my warranty info again, the purchase date is updated and the warranty last until OCT 2013, means it's already 3 years smile.gif

Okay. So, after so long, i'm gonna tell my story here.

Okay, firstly i have a sound crack problem 1st day upon buying the laptop. I send it back to repair the next working days. The people called and say it's software problem and say that they have to recover the system once again. Left no choice i had to sacrifice those data that i have not back up and let them do the recovery on my laptop.
After around 2 weeks or so it came back, but i was already at the Melaka and not my hometown. My mum collected the laptop from the shop for me and they tested okay. After that when i get hold of my laptop, i tested and the sound crack problem is still there !!!!! I am totally fed up as i've sacrifice my data and stuff and the problem is still there.
Okay, it's okay, problem have to be fixed. As i'm at Melaka, so i send the laptop back to Teledynamics Melaka and have them fix it for me. It was a week ago when i send it to Teledynamics Melaka and i just rang them up just now and ask about my laptop. They say it's still under testing and that they have changed the speaker module and the sound crack problem still PERSIST !!! And they are now waiting for mobo and planned to replace my mobo.

And now i feel...WTF. People buy Qosmio i also buy Qosmio, but peoples' Qosmio is so fine so perfect yet mine have endless problem. :'(
Arrrggghhh...buy the laptop like didnt buy like that. Never touch it for so long... -.="
Really swt till the max ah my case.
