sorry if you find the code reduces your viewing experience, but we will still have to put it there as part of the security measure. Thanks for understanding!

Thank you.  notworthy.gif

It is always like that with people. I've traveled around and yet people from first world countries are still criticizing their governments, providers and etc.

Even Sky in the UK also having this kind of problem. TM HSBB is trying to emulate Virgin.

how improve without criticizing?

Let me tell you why Astro sux...
1. Code always appear in selected times.
2. Astro SD channel is actually CTMSD channel (Compressed-Too-Much SD Channel)
3. Double Line Subtitles is blocking our view.
4. Astro operator tell me that HK no HD channel when I call Astro in January 2009.
5. The show is repeat and repeat again.

SD should be 720*576
astro compressed it to 640*480 for local chanel (those channel have astro logo)
for imported chanel 544*576 only
some chanel 8tv ntv7 even worse
more blur than SVCD!!!!

QUOTE(LCP @ Dec 24 2009, 10:30 PM)
I believe the signal is still 720x576 at 25fps interlaced (standard PAL MPEG2), but the bitrate has been restricted so much that the details are all smoothed out, and very bad macroblocking effect during fast changing scenes. Yes, local free-to-air stations are the worst affected. Many people are surprised that these local stations actually are so much sharper when received directly off the air via the regular analogue UHF transmission, provided their antenna system is good and within range of the broadcast.

yalo
i go my friend home watch ntv7
HE is not astro user
using 48 LCD to watch
NO MARCO BLOCK AT ALL and the resolution i think got 720*576
but the resolution for ntv7 at astro i think not 720*576
because it feel "BLUR" when see those image...
normally marco block is because if low bitrate
blur/sharp image is because of resolution
astro always did that
compress the resolution and and reduce the bitrate
to save BW!!! mad.gif mad.gif mad.gif

nope, just SD.
In fact TW only has HiHD which is something like our RTM. But that also just a few of HD shows.
