QUOTE(THEALB10N @ Dec 16 2009, 06:19 PM) To be honest I'm not bothered with component cables, just pointing out the facts. I will be using a HDMI cable with my brand spanking new samsung 55 incher if/hen I decide to order astroHD. The only problem is that I just did up my feature wall, and the astro cable from the satellite is BEHIND IT Shouldn't be any problems for the tech as you do not need to change the RG6 cables. Just need to change to the new decoder and shaft back the old RG6 cable to the new decoder and conncet the HDMI cable to your TV.How's your new TV serving you? Enjoying it well? |

It is raining damn heavy for the past 15 mins but my Astro is running fine. Even these few months with constant rain there has been no disruption. Do you guys out there face this too? Maybe Astro is much better now than before.

4 weeks and you can still bear with it. You really are a patient man.
You should contact the Head Office and they will rectify it quickly for you. When they delayed me last time for 2 weeks I compalained straight to the very top at Samsung and they immediately took very fast action and settled everything in 2 days. And mine was just a delayed minor problem compared with your case. Believe me they are very proactive and action orientated fellas. Guess youre the only fella that I know of that uses a 55". Very few users of this size over here so once you call up Samsung they will easily know who are the owners are. |

ecam,
since the new decoder does not have RF output can I use a RF Modulator as my TV in the room is just connected via RF and I can still control and change channels from the room itself. |

I'm not sure. Can clarify? You mean connect composite to the modulator? But how do u change channel on the astro box? R u using somesort of rmote control repeater? [/quote] Yes connect composite out fr decoder to modulator in then RF out fr modulator to the RF in of the control unit which then connects via RF cable to my room. I just use the normal astro remote control and can control the channels from the room itself without the need of an additional decoder. |
