QUOTE(AjkR06 @ Dec 11 2009, 10:50 PM) i think you can keep your old decoder and dish... but need to pay RM80 to the installer that come to ur house.... No I specifically mentioned to pay RM80 and get new decoder and dish. The girl said no, and then went to consult someone else. She came back and said there is no such thing, she confirmed MUST take back all the old stuff.Added on December 12, 2009, 1:41 am QUOTE(GothFebrio @ Dec 11 2009, 10:54 PM) You will receive the Astro B.yond Box, a new smartcard, a new outdoor dish unit (ODU), new remote control, and HDMI cables free of charge, on the condition that you return your current Astro box and commit to take up the high definition channels at RM20.00 per month, for a minimum of 12 months, which will allow you to enjoy the high definition channels of the standard definition channels available on your current subscription. If you want to keep your current Astro box, you are required to pay a RM80.00 standard installation fee. Refer to Astro's reply above.Added on December 12, 2009, 1:45 am QUOTE(GothFebrio @ Dec 11 2009, 10:57 PM) I was thinking so that I can install the new decoder for my upstairs LCD TV (for Sports only) and downstairs no change using old dish and decoder for old SD TV for those watching Chinese Drama series. This post has been edited by Ngto: Dec 12 2009, 01:45 AM |

QUOTE(neb @ Dec 12 2009, 01:54 AM) sometime astro staff don't read their own FAQ, or may be they change their terms without notice Yes I mentioned that I read in their website about paying RM80 and keeping old decoder, yet she said no such thing.» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « Maybe what they meant was they will take back the old satellite dish so that you can't use the old (for the old TV) and new (for another HD TV in another part of the house) together. QUOTE(GothFebrio @ Dec 12 2009, 02:22 AM) the thing is everyting is free, but installation is RM80. No installation is also free for now, but they will take back the old decoder and dish. How much will it cost to sign up for Astro B.yond? The Astro B.yond Box, the remote control, the Outside Dish Unit (ODU), and HDMI cable will be available for free. However, an RM80.00 installation fee will be charged on top of the RM20.00 monthly access fee for the High-Definition channels. |
