That's fast. What mail did you use? I thought of getting a few.
*
there is an option for fast mail, registered i think..i did some reading and many users say go for thicker ones coz the break easy..
quite nice these lens..abit harder to clean, the coating is like anti-glare..i bought the boro-float for the Tri P7..do u think it an over kill?does it get that hot?

I think a must for Maglite, those plastic lens are harder to maintain, the ucl now is on my LF and LF lens is on maglite...

Hi igis,

If you are planning to look and play with SF lights, go to Ampang Point shopping centre.. Well it's pretty far from PJ.

He is a friend of mine and he carries the full range of SF lights. From the G2 to the 10X Dominator. I bought mine from him.

BTW guys, I updated my sig to sell my 6PDL.. Im willing to put the price low as most of u told me that u can get new ones for RM300? Mine is slightly scratched..

Enjoying playing with my M6P7!! woo.. When is our next gathering? At least now I can bring something worthy to be seen.. haha
*
Mr Zenith...is he selling at a better price...where in ampang point?

ok jeremy zenith, i will have a look the surefire M6 looks very gagah..want to see for real...

i like the corn cob look...

zenith have you read the TRUE STORY on surefire website....this one is very nice

M6 Prevents Grizzly Situation
I canoe remote Alaskan rivers each fall, fly fishing for various species. This past September we floated the Goodnews River in Southwest Alaska. On the last night of a 13-day float, I was awakened at 3 a.m. by a sound that was just a little louder than the pitter patter of the rain on our tent. I crawled out of my sleeping bag and reached for was my SureFire M6® Guardian®. I opened the tent door, stuck my head out, and saw every camper's worst nightmare—a 600-pound grizzly, which had crossed the stream protecting our campsite, standing only 20 feet away.

I instinctively shined the light's 500 lumens into the beast's face. He stopped dead in his tracks, raising his right front paw into the air to block the light. He then stared into the light for several seconds before deciding to turn around and bolt. Even after he was out of sight, I heard him running for another 100 yards. He'd obviously been just as scared as I was. I slept with that M6 in my hand the rest of the night.

Your light helped me to avoid what could have been my last trip to this great land. This is an amazing product, and it may very well have saved my life. Thanks, SureFire.

You can submit a real true story and win $100...not bad..

I did use the LF P7 for the same thing aa few nights ago..some cats making noise out side..flashed it with the LF P7..thought i could blind it or scare it....nothing happen, just stared straight at the led, but its eye did glow like i've never seen. Dont know perhaps cats immune

How many cell Mag will you use for your upcoming mod?

i think i will make use of all 18650 i have 4 of them...this will be my search light when i go cycling...i will do more research on various 3xp7, want sth with more throw...i'm keen on like the one you have but i'm looking at others too...why dont you send me a beam shot..

this is the beam shot you ask for 3 feet from wall, 4 feet elevation and 1 feet between each blue don on the wall..i took this as close to the real thing as i can, so its grainy..

beamshots look good...hmmm...might go for that, it is cheaper than others...as for elephant i can't confirm, i have a 4d maglite, so that is enough for now.

Another good option to power the 3xp7 bore to fit 4 AA, but use 4x14500...have not done the calculation but i think it should be enough, run time will suffer

zenith

i got your pm

its a bit tight..i use computer power cable..wrap around the bezel like in the picture..be sure the cable is sand free, dont want scratch..if it slips double the wrap, grip the cable like how you grip a flashlight and twist counter clock with reflector facing you..if you manage to open it..do the same for the reflector..

Attached Image

Attached Image

as for reflector i use the usual use dish washing liquid...pekat, so thick skin does not touch reflector..make sure you washed your hands before doing this..i keep the tap water running on standby. the moment i feel the reflector on the tips of my finger i stop and put more soap or scoop soap on other area of the reflector to the area being cleaned...gentle rubs and dont press. use warn or hot water will help the reflector dry up quicker, the reflector will be quite hot, absorb heat it seems.

water marks is due to 2 things i can figure, its the grease washed down by water and water, i use battery water...no rubbing when drying..use air compressor or a little bit low tech...i secure it in anything like umbrella kind of cloth and swing away.. biggrin.gif also tapping on the cloth..seem like football, umbrella or wind breaker cloth is lint free...

this technique is very effective if done carefully and thoroughly..have one good slave flashlight to verify the cleanness before moving to blowing and drying. I always keep the module in a clean plastic bag when washing the reflector or vise versa. hope this helps

Zenith,

Yea up to you if you wanna send the light for replacement though. Maybe you should. But for me, I would just fix it myself but if something to do with LED or driver, technical. I would go for warranty instead.

Metalmania, is the head glued? IF the warranty state that by opening the head voids the warranty maybe it's better to send it back. You should ask KahWai about this.
*
its not glued the led and driver is..i think since the led is effected send it for warranty...

zenith if you need more help plse let me know, i will go over if i have too, dont let the water soak the reflector for too long the coating might fade away..or root..

Haha.. thanks.. but the only thing is that the reflector is kinda dirty now with finger prints..

My dad accidentally picked it up with his finger inside the reflector!!! But the beam is still fine
*
careful if you want to wash the reflector....do leave the module open in a clean safe place for a few days....i soaked my ultrafire and it took quite a few days to fully dry..disassemble the module put in plastic container with lid and leave for few days..if you see mist on the lens mean module is still moist...

alcohol also leave behind smudges..i tried it, so does contact cleaner. i have not found anything which dries and not leave anything behind..my best effort with goo result is still dish soap, finger and rinse with battery water...shake till dry or compress air in a can.

for lens, dish soap, rinse with tap water and battery water last. I usually finish off with Kiwi Kleen glass cleaner wipe with polyester cloth or wind breaker kind of cloth. But coated lens seem harder to clean..
