QUOTE(RookieDaddy @ Feb 16 2010, 05:33 PM) guys... hope this is not too late... Energizer L92 AAA is going for RM4.38 for a pack of 2 at Watson, used by date is 2022. Bought 5 packs at 1 Utama. I think the price is good nation-wide coz the cashier help to do a price check and she confirms it's the correct price. Their L91 AA however is still at RM20++... I was just at SS2 Watson a couple mins ago, and it was RM17.50 =(

QUOTE(RookieDaddy @ Feb 18 2010, 07:34 PM) oh my... fire at Battery Junction warehouse ... http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=262110 hope it's not battery/chemical fire... Added on February 18, 2010, 7:47 pmsome smaller Watson outlets are slow to update their tag/display/shelf price as they are sometimes shorthanded (as I was told a while ago). Their bigger outlets (like the one in 1U) will most likely have updated/latest price display. So if you think one store price is different from another, you can ask them to do a price check. I believe each of their store is equipped with some-sort of price checking hand-held device. Man, I'm really annoyed at the salesperson at SS2 Watson (Indeed, the one next to Kamdar). I went on a crazy ride to Watson at 1U, Cineleasure, The Curve, Section 14.... All finished already! But luckily... Seapark still had some! So I got them all (8 packs of 2 each) @ RM4.38 each! (I had to ask them to double check the price) (Last I heard from my relative who was in Pyramid at the same time, there were 5 packs there... But by now, who knows?) QUOTE(strinq @ Feb 21 2010, 03:17 AM) Really thanks for the tip rookie, i got 2 packs off the shelf in Klang. Wonder if there's more. Mine also expires in 2023 7 of my packets expire in 2024 I wonder if it's a pricing mistake or something... I'm pretty sure that battery prices are supposed to be somewhat standardized...

QUOTE(pseudoblue @ Feb 23 2010, 01:14 AM) AW Protected Cell also can KABOOM!!!! http://www.candlepowerforums.com/vb/showthread.php?t=262262Waiting for the OP's reply so AW can give more proper insight what actually happened. The built in anti-explosion vent/PTC module should have prevented it but.... Just a follow up guys, if you read the thread (it's just been updated) - it was found that the cell which was being used was NOT actually an AW RCR123 cell, but instead it was a primary CR123 which lacked (!!) PTC protection! This is good news as AW cells are no longer implicated. The lesson is - using cheap/unbranded cells is toying with danger! And as always - play safe with Lithiums / Lithium Ions!

QUOTE(uncle wong @ Mar 11 2010, 04:00 PM) Sifu & Senior I have one question Will Malaysia Custom tax us when we buy flashlight from oversea & send it here So far I haven't been taxed, but you should be aware that things can go missing. A flashlight I ordered back in January from the US has presumably gone missing. Use insurance / tracking if possible! However, all my stuff from Hong Kong via registered mail has arrived safely so far.
