QUOTE(linkinawe @ Apr 28 2010, 07:14 PM) ZZZzzzz why need to guess ? just wait for the pricing , even if you give Rm1800~2000 , does it make a effect on real pricing ? nope , you are just comforting yourself and get disappointed eventually but i saw that N1 sell more exp than htc desire. i checked many website(australia website) and N1 never sell cheaper than htc desire.so i guess htc desire will be slightly cheaper than N1Even i said so ! I also want to give my guess GOOGLE NEXUS ONE RM2280 HTC LEGEND RM1950 N1 already cost Rm2280 , so do you think Desire will be Rm2290 ? nope ~~~~~ It will be a bit more expensive than N1 , my guess is at least Rm2.4k QUOTE(freakenstein @ Apr 28 2010, 08:12 PM) there is a possibility for this |

QUOTE(kaioucat @ Apr 29 2010, 03:41 PM) The price of HTC Desire in Singapore is a lot higher than N1 (online purchase price). A list below is for your gauge: u mean if u import both htc desire and N1 from other countries than htc desire is more exp than N1?(All prices are from local licensed distributor, except for N1, of course) N1 purchased from Google.com = SGD820 (approx.) N1 purchased from local importers = SGD950 (|||=.=) HTC Desire = SGD938 HTC HD2 = SGD919 HTC Legend = SGD798 Generally, I find that the above phones are cheaper in Singapore but the price scale is probably the same (someone wanna confirm this?). Question: I hear that Malaysian Android sets do not come with Android Market app. Will this be the same for the Desire? If yes, I understand we can install the app by "rooting" the phone. Seriously, I got no bloody idea what is "root". Can someone briefly explain it here? And how/where can I get this "rooting" done? Cost involved? well if in this case then u wrong because if u buy it from other country for htc desire, it will only cost approximately SGD750 QUOTE(kaioucat @ Apr 29 2010, 04:12 PM) Cool! Thanks for the info! somehow i do agree with sales guyI am returning to Malaysia for good in July and I am thinking whether to buy the Desire in Malaysia or in Singapore. Main concern here is the warranty, followed by price. Local warranty is only valid in the country of purchase, you see. I asked a sales guy in Singapore about the warranty. He said it is not that useful because if there's anything wrong with the phone, it will surface within the first 14 days of use. Thereafter, problems will usually only rise after warranty period is over. I know he is trying to psycho me into buying his phone (instead of buying in Msia), but what do you guys think? QUOTE(nakalboy @ Apr 29 2010, 05:36 PM) i'm new in here... read the spec then u will get a quick answeri'm nob about smartfon... just wanna ask for quick answer, this fon can do videocall..??? the answer is No |

Now upcoming phone , most of them are come with android ~~~ and the specification of Desire is consider one of the best phone in the world , so I dont find anything that doesnt match the pricetag . QUOTE(persia @ May 1 2010, 08:32 PM) coz its price is 100 to $150 (USA $) more than other countries!! that's why i said is very high!!! and since it is open source and the os is almost free so it should be much cheaper than HTC HD2 with the larger LCD and expensive OS!!! err...are you staying in malaysia? i assume you don't know the high tax in malaysia... and this device is not manufactured or made from malaysia. QUOTE(whatsayyou @ May 1 2010, 08:38 PM) well my bro is in sweden. supposed to be studying, but he's just touring europe (lucky b__tard ...) mayb your brother can buy it from clove/handtec and ship to sweeden for cheaper shipping?thinking i could get him to buy 1. cause i dont want to deal with customs if i order direct. |

QUOTE(mikelanding @ May 1 2010, 08:51 PM) Just to let U all know, clove.co.uk didnt provide any document for you to claim back yr VAT if U decided to send to UK/EU. first of all,you wont get charge any VAT if you import or buy it back to malaysia but malaysia will charge u tax, etcThey stated very clearly in their FAQ: "Can I get a tax redemption for use at airports? As an online mail order company, operating in the UK we can NOT supply a VAT/Tax redemption form even if you can prove to us that your country of residence is outside the UK." Without the VAT/Tax redemption form, there is no way U can claim back the 17.5%VAT even U are a genuine tourist. |

QUOTE(rattan @ May 1 2010, 09:38 PM) Wait another 1-2 months HTC will launch another phone and the price of this phone is going to plunge, HTC always champion in new models. hehehe technology keep advancing brother...not only HTC will be championQUOTE(mikelanding @ May 1 2010, 09:41 PM) I was actually refer to whatsayyou's plan to ask his bro to bring back from sweden with the assumption he purchase from clove.co.uk and ship to his bro. oicBut what U stated is correct. Clove.co.uk ship to non UK/EU will not have any VAT incur. |
