One can't blame the bank should he/she get into too much debt. One makes the choice himself/herself. The bank is not pointing a gun at your head to force you to apply for one of their products. He/She can't blame it on anyone other than himself/herself for being so stupid in the first place.

Providing loan is a bank's bread and butter. It is what they do. What else do you expect them to do ? They want to make you their slaves but then it is strictly on a voluntarily basis.

If thats your saying, what right does the government has over us that we cant choose for ourself and instead need to be reminded of the fact by punishing us RM50 for each card?

That day I called SCB they told me they will waived my service tax. I hope it's true

Aiyo... already give you RM100 free somemore want to cancel because of the RM50 meh?

I have confirm to maintain Citibank Shell Gold and SCB Business Platinum for rebate purpose. Still got a SCB Plat Mastercard which Im unsure whether to cut or not. The RM100 from SCB is enough to cover both their cards service tax.

Cards that I have cancelled:-

1. HSBC Classic - Discount normally for normal price item. Usually shop during sales.
2. RHB Tesco & Travel Money - Useless
3. Alliance Gold - Not happy with billing.. want more details on rebate like Citi/SCB

Need to call EON to cancel my card application I think. Cant pity those card agents anymore. Infact I havent seen any of them lately in shopping malls.

Something like this..

* ABC company sdn bhd : 7/12 - | RM 255 *

That mean I cannot pay one time off .. ahh .. I got the money but cannot pay one time off .. that hurts =/

Well .. thank you for your explaination ..

Dont worry la. If you want to cancel your card, you can still do it and they will still send you monthly installment statement for you to clear till it finish. Or since your credit already being halved by the installment plan, just dump some money inside so that you can use it as top up to existing credit balance you have. You can always argue your case.

I've been hearing many people talking about Standard Chartered Bank Business Platinum credit card. Many seem to think the 0.5% cash back is good enough.

Anyway, just want to share something i just discovered. Apparently RHB Bank also has a dedicated business credit card called RHB Platinum Business Mastercard. What is good about this card is that it gives you 1% cash back on all transactions (except petrol, government and charity transactions) !

By the way, they just unveiled a new website just a couple of hours ago > RHB Bank. I really really hope Public Bank will be the next one to introduce a complete redesigned website  smile.gif

I for one dont like any of the local banks cc offering regardless of what they are offering. I have Alliance Bank Gold card which gives a tier 1.5% upto RM3k but just dont like how they deal with the rebate as there is no details and I have to kept track of it myself.

Like SCB instant 0.5% which is shown below the transaction I've done and Citibank which show the amount of accumulated rebate + rebate for current month.

Today I called Citibank and uncover a stupid trick they used with Citibank Shell card. If you aint using it for Shell, they wont honour the rebate you accumulated through retail purchases. Damn...

Well, if the banks think like what I had in mind, I would definately not waive those who owes the banks nothing. Simply, these indebted guys/gals are paying them(banks) handsomely albeit 1.5% in interest each and every month. These are the real revenue generator. I would die to keep these bastards in.

RHB is so persistant. Im at a loss. Im being told that if I proceed with my card cancellation, they will bill me the lump sump of whats left in my installment plan. They were reluctant to give me the things that I wanted most which is the fullset of monthly statement of the remaining sum that I needed for my company claims.

I just went and pump RM5 petrol in Shell to see if Citibank will at last release the RM50 rebate holding up in my card.

Just received my Citibank Shell card statement. Now I know how their rebate system works. The amount of accumulated rebate that can be cleared from your account depends on the amount of Shell fuel you pump. So I got RM50 rebate in it, but I tried pumping RM5 shell, all I get is RM5 rebate cleared. The rest still aint cleared. Sucks as Shell RON95 is the worst among them all. Looks like the timing is right as just confirmed to switch my Alliance Bank Gold card to Younique and therefore can cancel my Citibank card tomorrow. Thanks you Citi for all the rebates and discount that I enjoyed during the 1 1/2 years.

just went to lowyat and swiped using cc
the merchant still charge extra fees - 2.5% doh.gif

anyway, swipe using JustOne, can't go thru doh.gif  doh.gif
lastly use pbb

after 10 minutes, SCB called to enquire about the transaction
take the chance to "praise" the cs, cannot go thru oso need to verify sweat.gif
he did admit that SCB is working on how to improve the card's functionality:thumbs:

after another 10 minutes, PBB oso called to enquire about the transaction
seems like lowyat really not a safe place for cc tongue.gif

Why banks never bothered to call me?
I remember a few years back when I just increase my CL on my HSBC, they did call me up to confirm cos I just upgrade my limit and within 2 days, it was over limit (9.5k). Had to told them to deduct the money from my savings acc. No call ever since. Even when I was buying something in China, and without informing them, it still goes through. No calls. Its suppose to be foolproof aint it?

When you purchase Air Ticket from AirAsia, notice that how the local banks issued card need all sort of security question. No such hassle with Citibank and SCB.
