though the torque drop substantially after 3000 rpm
the higher the revs the bigger the momentum you carry forward to the next gear so the drop off is not that greater
unless you have good e-gears there is no way that you can change gear without hesitation

QUOTE(-storm- @ Dec 7 2009, 05:52 PM) Actually i notice campro sweet spot is between 2.8 till 4k for my iafm that is Ya IAFM had improved their low rpm torque n CPS even better,CPS r having a wide range of torque from 1k-6k. But the old Campro engine, for example the older Gen2,their sweet spot should be 4k-5.5k i dun like proton much...but their CPS engine now r really , Easily a waja CPS can smoke a VIOS CPS torque curve: http://www.motortrader.com.my/NUS/articles...1261/page_m.aspThis post has been edited by nujo87: Dec 7 2009, 07:57 PM

stock waja 4g18 engine max torque is at 2.7k..i usually shift b4 or at 2.5k..enuf power for me..but if i want to go quite fast..i hold my shift usually until 3.5k or 4k rpm..but it depends on you to determine required power at a gven moment..need to know car characteristics..load..simple to say..experience and practice

it also depends on how fast you can shift from gear to gear. if you're quick enough to not let the revs drop too much between shifts then you dont have to shift at too high an rpm..
