the placement of HDMI port which is next to the AV out is plain stupid, obviously MS didn't plan for it in the first place, but became kiasu after PS3 came with it on day one
no Wifi inbuilt, perhaps MS should plan this in their next SKU, c'on lar, don't say you don't need Wifi thesedays, even RM700 phone got Wifi already

honestly solely from the hardware POV, Xbox 360 already lose from the start

That's because they want to make extra bucks from selling their ridiculously overpriced accessories

i agreed. Instead of going for the consoles, go for the games you want to play and get the console related to it.

then comes the confusing part, many games are multiplatform nowadays, for eg, RE5, AC2, Dirt2, which platform to go for?

2009 is the year where many fantastic PS3 exclusives come out, Killzone 2, Infamous, Uncharted 2, etc, all scored at least 9.0 in Gamespot.

while Xbox 360 what exclusive have they got, aside from the Halo and GOW franchise

MS really need to push for their console exclusives in order to maintain competitiveness , ain't they got many money to purchase more developers?

What I like about Sony approach is that they intended PS3 to be made for 10 years to come. Blu-ray, wifi, etc.

Xbox....just innit for the cash.

It's obvious when you have two consoles to do the comparison. Try and have a look at the AV port and the HDMI port. I made a fair conclusion from there.
You may want to have a look at the wireless controller too. If you are smart, you ought to find the answer.

I have X360 but I want PS3 also... sigh no money
both are good video game consoles and I want them both....by d way, Microsoft sucks. X360 is one money sucking consoles, have to pay for Gold membership is just plain suck -sucking what is left in my pocket... damn

agreed with doomHammer. The fact that we had to pay for Gold Memberships is a minus for 360.
another minus -
1 - sound quality for movie is not that great. Max out my speaker, actors script sounds very low, when it comes to action ( explosion, accident etc, ), all out of sudden, it becomes so loud.
2 - the harddisk. Have to use microsoft harddisk, not like ps3 where just need to buy 2'5 inch hdd.

Else, it's a good machine. as for the wifi, it's kinda good tho, u have options as to choose which wifi modem for your xbox. I bought one from Pelican, it cost me half the price.

Online gaming on PS3 free...

Watched all 5 of it, can't really comment on the controllers (round 1) because I don't have XBOX360

But the rest are all spot on

They never mention Xbox controller Dpad and slippery analog (wait until ur hand sweaty)

lucky i got both..
ps3 - i use it just to play divx movies since i just use usb and play it on my crt tv.
xbox360 - i use it to play games since the games is cheap.

i'm a happy gamer. more cash to spend on anything else..

Both of them have its own problems,both of them is bought by me.
But the 360,meninggal dulu la...PS3 is still healthy for 12 months.

/me also owned both consoles.I buy PS3 for the sake of MGS4 and buy 360 for the sake of Gears Of War(best game ever!! ).Planned to buy Wii but the problem is when I played at my friend's house, my hand become tired and some more I have to sit or stand up to play the game(fyi, I usually lie down while playing coz too tired after got back from work).

Will think it again on buying Wii if Fatal Frame 4 coming on English version.

Boils down to personal preference ,

I have both machines , somehow , I still prefer the xbox , the way the market place is set up is great , miles better than the PS store .

I notice that the fanboi ' sickness ' is wildly rampant in the Playstation subforum compared to the Xbox subforum .

Love uncharted 2 , hate the gt5 demo , love forza 3 , hate race pro .

same same lah .. if talking about blu-ray , why not just go ahead and buy a blu ray player

not all of us have a modem in the same room as the blu ray player.
and pulling an ethernet cable from the 2nd floor to the living room is ridiculous

it's fine for me,both in my room and in the living room.

the wireless router is in the master bedroom above the living room.

Truth is, the fanboi sickness is rampant in just about any console forum. You just don't see much in LYN's Xbox subforum coz there's hardly much post in the subforum compared to the rest.

Everyone knows the PS3 is a perfect machine, why compare?

If there's anything that's not so perfect about PS3 it's because Sony had intentionally made it so so it can last for 10 years, they announced it even before the PS3 was launch!

Both PS3 and Xbox have their pro and cons.Including Wii too.I love my PS3 and XBox and I had much fun when playing either both of them.So to me their both perfect.

the best still snes. a lot of classic moments together. still remember the sweat generated fighting mbison for the first time in sf2.

I use my XBOX360 to play those multi-platform games and the PS3 solely for PS3 exclusive games.

Recently the PS3 have some really fantastic games. Uncharted 2 is the best game I ever play and the graphics is just drop dead gorgeous. I can wait for GOW3 to release.

SNES don't have but NES got, but that one has some changes like there isn't even a METAL GEAR in a Metal Gear game lol unlike the original MSX2 one. And then there's Metal Gear: Snakes Revenge which is a non-canonical sequel, but most probably you guys don't need to read from me if your already a hardcore Metal Gear fan right?

One more thing you forgot to mention ! PS3 the only 1 console educate gamers to play Original Games .

i have to agree with sniper about this. the SNES was one of the coolest and really thoroughly enjoyed system for me. especially for SF2. I HATE VEGA (m.bison for some) BUGGER! and balrog (i guess vega...in the other edition).... i still play SF2 on my psp. and also the old dragon ball z game. so nostalgic to tiup dust out of the cartridge.

not the same feeling as wiping the disc. i wonder if cartrige games will ever come back i guess to expensive to make them.
