Yeah GS is a big NO-No in a few guilds now in Dreadmaul cos I guess it's about time that they realised ppl with high gear scores that dun know the fight is doomed to fail lolx. Both raids started about hte same time and we finished well before them without a wipe. The "high geared" raid wiped 3 times! lolx and finished later. Lolx.
Let's hope more n more ppl would not look at GS to pug raids etc. it only gives newer players a fighting chance to get involved.
LOL, that happened a lot in my server. All you need is a decent tank and DPS who knows how to GTFO from cave/tail/breath.
I have seen geared groups doing stupid stuff like ZOMG WHELPSPAWNS LOLIHAVELEETGEARAOESPAMTOPDPSMETERS>OHSHITAGGRO>RUNNING AWAY FROM WHELPS AND OUTSIDE TANK RANGE and make whelp die slower, or even worse ignore adds and ZOMGHIGHDPS bring down Onyxia right when DBM warns whelp and elite spawning, then start blaming the tank for not picking whelps and elites when ony lands and fear everyone.
Its really stupid how the GearScore and Achievement system is ruining the game.
For example:
You want to start gearing a newly lvl alt. Lets say you start off with HTOC/Naxx gear.
You want to start raiding Trial of the Crusader asap, but people rejected you coz you don't have the "lolgearscore" for it.
So you try to get some LOLduar gear for to get so call "entry lvl gear" for loltoc.
When you want to join an Uld25, you will still get rejected coz most pugs expecting achievements from an old raid instance like lolduar.
Well of course, i know some of you say this is QQing and argue that i can buy badge gear etc. But you get my point.
