QUOTE(Moogle Stiltzkin @ Dec 2 2009, 06:26 PM) Ok i tried asking around here but no reply: yes, it will be taxed.. almost 30% of the price you pay for the items. Anyway, u can less the amount for taxes payment, if you ask the seller to include the invoice with low price of all the items. just to make it looks like dummy thing and when reach the custom, the thing they saw first is the invoice enclosed with the item. But depends, sometimes it's fixed 30% taxes but sometimes not... http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/433543/latest Better place to ask if here since some of you may have experience with this. QUOTE(Moogle Stiltzkin @ Dec 2 2009, 07:37 PM) Wow 30% why so much? the component + shipping price is always taxable together. This is why the price is expensive especially when you take on a small amount of items compared to big bundled item.So from my understanding it's the components + shipping price = total that will be taxable. Yeah i was thinking of that too Kino and asking them to label as a gift. I've had experiences importing Audio Technica headphones overseas. The first time i was taxed !! the 2nd time i wasn't !! So really, sometimes your lucky, sometimes your not yeahhh sometimes even bad happen when the shipping loss its item bundled or only box reach the buyer.. that's a bad and i thought maybe some custom staff took that item. |

you need to ask some advise from the logistic import export people
becos can reduce the tax if u know how to declare the item for example if u import construction machine, if u declare the purpose of the machine is for construction, sure one the tax is higher but if u declare the machine is for agricultural purpose, u can reduce the tax its all depend how u fill up the form plus what "kInOzAwA" said plus also depend on the custom guy just my seposen thought |

QUOTE(Moogle Stiltzkin @ Dec 3 2009, 01:15 AM) I need to fill out a form on my end as well? i think you can declare the item for personal use and not intended for commercial use. maybe can avoid the tax if luckily enough I'm a bit out of idea how to convince them my water cooling set is for agriculture purpose >-<; My grand daddy had a farm but we sold it off, lulz... and it's not in Malaysia |
