I hope I'm wrong about this, but I think if we were to win the title this season, it will be down to our opponents unable to get results. Our injuries crisis really hit us hard this season, more than I can imagine. Never I see this kind of injuries hit us before. All of our defenders are out at the same time?! And 5 lost before Christmast? With the kind of "defenders' available now, I still can see us winning at home but it's hard to say the same for away game.
we did that last season too. We are the champions because we were consistent against mid-table and bottom-table teams. The other contenders were inconsistent. That is also considered as "down to our opponent" huh? Anyway, all we need is for the defender crisis to be solved. But frankly, our defenders are quite injury-prone. Plus all our rumours about defenders' transfer from united. I hope Alex Ferguson is able to scout a young talent to be a backup for defends department. Or maybe he can just get a superstar to play..
i just duno why da leat was playing left back. he's inexperienced and so shaky. better to play evra there and risk da leat upfront on the left wing? better sense no?

better SAF put evra early rather than de laet and rooney to handle the left wing with berbatov + owen in front if he really play with 3-5-2 formation.

he wasn't it LB, it was a 3 man defense. bad strategy.
btter to play 4-5-1 for me.. fabio as right back.. then try owen or rooney alone or berba alone upfront.. i saw SAf's tactics dat night, i felt really weird.. we shouldnt play 3 defenders with da laet as left wing.. and evra shouldnt plasy as left wing.. should be play like this: fabio-carrick-fletcher-evra then valencia-gibson-ando-scholes-park and rooney alone upfront..
I've been the best manager for 20 years plus now. All I wanted for Christmas is to have all my defenders fully fit and injury free for the rest of the season and our rivals to drop more points in the process.
Boxing day match, Gary, Brown, Vidic to be back I suppose. Ah long time to go with evans and O'shea. The Chelsea legend, Zola has done us a favor tonight

It was a 3-5-2, with evra actually playing left wing back. De laet was actually fielded centre(left) since he has the capabilities to play any side of back four. So he probably feels more comfortable playing there than carrick/fletcher.

lady luck smiled upon us when chelsea drew with west ham.
Same case when Chelsea drew Everton and we failed to grab the opportunity to be at the same points with them.

$25M for Benzema? Sounds good but to me, he's an overrated player.
He actually rejected us earlier before joining Madrid, thus Owen ended up signing for us. He's a real good striker, power, shooting, strength. Similarity between him and Luiz Ronaldo.

Giggs - We don't miss Ron Veteran midfielder claims United are fine without Portuguese star
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «
Ryan Giggs insists little has changed at Manchester United since Cristiano Ronaldo's exit in the summer.
The Portuguese winger blossomed into the best player on the planet during his time at Old Trafford, but opted to take on a fresh challenge when Real Madrid lodged a record-breaking bid in June.
His absence was expected to leave a gaping hole in United's attacking arsenal, with a regular source of goals having been offloaded.
However, the Red Devils have fared admirably in his absence and veteran midfielder Giggs believes Sir Alex Ferguson's side are as fearsome as ever - regardless of the changes in personnel.
"Cristiano is one of the best players in the world but I have to be honest and say I haven't noticed much of a difference since he left," Giggs said in The People.
"We have never been a one-man team and we still have more or less the same group of players, with a couple of additions.
"We all knew Cristiano wanted to play for Madrid and when he got the chance he took it.
"He wasn't a Manc and we knew one day he would leave, but there are no hard feelings - why should there be?
"He is one of the best I have ever played with and a really nice lad, but we knew Madrid was where he wanted to be one day and he got his wish, so good luck to him."
Keep going Giggs, who turned 36 in November, remains as integral a part of United's plans as he has ever been, and the Welsh wizard claims he has no plans to call time on his distinguished career any time soon, having just signed a one-year extension at Old Trafford.
He added: "I still have the energy to enjoy everything that goes with training.
"When the season is finished I get restless. I can only sleep about five hours a night when the season isn't on and there is no training because I can honestly say I don't get tired.
"I still don't find the daily routine boring. I have said before that when I stop caring that's when it will be time to give up.
"The Villa defeat the other week hurt me, and that reflects in training. When defeats stop hurting and you don't want to train, then you know it is probably time to hang up your boots."
Fergie hopeful on chances United boss hoping defeat not damaging
» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «
Sir Alex Ferguson is crossing his fingers Manchester United's thumping at Fulham does not cost them the Premier League title.
The Red Devils' patched-up defence were no match for Fulham's in-form strike force as they travelled back up north with their tails firmly between their legs on the back of the 3-0 defeat.
Victory would have seen them move level with Chelsea at the top of the table, however, they could slip six points adrift if the leaders topple West Ham on Sunday.
Fergie knows his side are vulnerable until they get their key defenders back and hopes their defeat at Craven Cottage is not damaging in the long run.
Hopeful "The way the league is at the moment I hope this result is not too damaging. I hope it doesn't cost us the league," he told MUTV.
"We'll have to get our defenders back to give us a proper chance of going for the league, there's no question of that. But if we get them back we'll be back in it.
"The quicker they're back the better. They're doing their best. The medical team and physios are working overtime to get them back.
"There's no light at the end of the tunnel at the moment, that's for sure."
wanna share some giggsy videos with you guys. enjoy !
i love you giggs, you are legend !
oh, not to forget the recently BBC Sports Personality Of The Year Award 2009
the league this year looks very even. 18 games in and no team has actually pull away. Everyone is still within striking distance. We are three points behind Chelsea. Arse and Villa are two points behind. Spurs are also thereabouts. I still think we can win the league if we go on a consistent run again.
Tough season there, Chelsea leading us, Arsenal will lead us by 1 point by winning games in hand. News that teams like ManCity, Tottenham and Aston Villa able to break into top 4. Fulham and Birmingham are doing very well and in good form at the moment too.

this seasons BPL is really like bollywood. really have to expect the unexpected. for all you know, birmingham city wins the league?
its not just bpl. champions league too. im starting to think that champions league draw is like wrestling matches.
from the group stage where Inter Milan in the same group with Barca and Real Madrid in the same group with AC Milan, then the knock out stage where AC Milan against us and Inter Milan against Chelsea. what are the odds eh?
they already fixed it to make it more entertaining and sentimental lol

as much as i love to think that its coincidence, i couldnt. To be fair, we got a rather easy group. Though im sure even if we are in Liverpool's group, we can advance too. But seriously, the knock out stage draw, where we meet AC Milan to face Beckham while Chelsea welcomes the Special One.
