Just jonied the D90 club this weekend... However, I suspects the shop sold me an underwater unit coz all the manual/guide are in Japanese. Is there any way to confirm this? using the serial#.

Pls advise.

P/S love the camera though... my 1st dSLR... hehe

according to him, DX lens got certain F open in order to be sharp. like 50mm F1.8, it wud be sharp at F3 - 4. but with FX lens, it even sharp at F2

bokeh using UWA? I recommend 35/50/85/105/135/70-200 for bokeh instead

i think 18-105mm is good enough..
one of the sharpest kit lens

that good price u pay assuming is a nikon 18-200.....i still thinking to get a D90 or a D300s...price difference almost Rm2k...any sifu to give advice on this. Tq.

didnt try yet. its D70s kit rite? but IMO, 18105 is ok ed for certain condition

Hi all,
New to this photography world and decided to buy the NikonD90 as my first DSLR, is it a right choice? Need some advise and help on this:-
  a) Should I change the kit lens to 18-200 nikon VR?
  b) What is the selling price for this in Penang that accept credit card with 0% installment?
  c) Should I consider to get a used one first? and upgrade to the replacement model of D90, I beleive there will be one soon.
  d) What are the free gift that come with the camera? How to know that the set is original and not AP set.

Any order model that I should consider other than this D90? How abt Canon EOS500D or the upcoming 550D?

better way in terms of sharpness but no VR and shorter range..

18-200VRii - a bit lower in terms of sharpness.. and lower colour contrast, but versatile..

but then again...sharpness wise... nothing beats a prime lens.. a 50mm 1.4 or 85 1.4 is superbly sharp...

how much sharper a 85mm 1.4 is? anyone ???

i find 85mm f/1.8 is not as sharp as 50mm f/1.8 at wide open....

below using 85mm f/1.8 shot at f/2.2

more to come... suddenly i was lucky to shoot lambo, GT3 and F430. budden it was at night  at vallet parking BTS. was using SB600 only without white bounce card... a bit poor result as it was my first time out with my new SB600 lol
