QUOTE(Isepunye @ Mar 2 2010, 03:25 AM) 2470 F2.8 + tokina 116. You got my point wrong. the AFD 35mm f2 is sharp even at f2 while the AFS 35mm f1.8 I don't feel sharp even at f2.8.Added on March 2, 2010, 3:31 am according to him, DX lens got certain F open in order to be sharp. like 50mm F1.8, it wud be sharp at F3 - 4. but with FX lens, it even sharp at F2 Added on March 2, 2010, 3:37 am do u see my name on the list? FX and DX don't really determine the sharpness. It's the lens actually. Please correct me if I wrong but 50mm f/1.8 sharp at f2.8 onwards even on DX body. |

QUOTE(cs168 @ Mar 8 2010, 02:38 PM) Hi all, 1. 18-105 good to go. 18-200 too soft for my liking.New to this photography world and decided to buy the NikonD90 as my first DSLR, is it a right choice? Need some advise and help on this:- a) Should I change the kit lens to 18-200 nikon VR? b) What is the selling price for this in Penang that accept credit card with 0% installment? c) Should I consider to get a used one first? and upgrade to the replacement model of D90, I beleive there will be one soon. d) What are the free gift that come with the camera? How to know that the set is original and not AP set. Any order model that I should consider other than this D90? How abt Canon EOS500D or the upcoming 550D? thanks 2. Credit card most shop charge 2% handling charges. I doubt there is any shop in PG will not charge you UNLESS they already included in the selling price 3. Don't wait, just buy. 4. NIKON MALAYSIA WARRANTY. |

QUOTE(alpha_company @ Mar 9 2010, 01:33 AM) u sold it for what lens? A bit lower ? It's not usable at all from 130mm onwards Added on March 9, 2010, 1:34 am better way in terms of sharpness but no VR and shorter range.. 18-200VRii - a bit lower in terms of sharpness.. and lower colour contrast, but versatile.. Added on March 9, 2010, 1:42 am but then again...sharpness wise... nothing beats a prime lens.. a 50mm 1.4 or 85 1.4 is superbly sharp... Well, at least to me. Way too soft. Sorry, maybe is my eyes can't tolerate with that. |

Actually, before SB-900 come out, people use SB-800 for birding.
So, basically, as long as your flash charges fast enough, it's fine The 200mm is plain bullshit , at least for me. |
