aaa damnit ktcy.

now im torn between 35mm f2 and 50mm 1.4G T_T
*
Both brows.gif

QUOTE(-Shinjiz- @ Jan 27 2010, 11:29 PM)
Great lens for both but for 50mm 1.4G, the price itself is the biggest factor with the minor improvement from the previous version. I'm not too sure if it's a wise investment. 35mm f2 is an old lens but still prove to be one great lens. why not 35mm f1.8? Or you are in FX-user?  brows.gif
*
35mm f/1.8 is plain junk.
Even f/2.8 it seems a little soft.

QUOTE(General_Nic @ Jan 28 2010, 12:23 AM)
if u r going for 50mm 1.4G, i suggest top another rm200-300 get the Siggy 50mm instead
Siggy 50mm has 1 of the best IQ 50mm lens, is more worth getting it than Nikon 50mm 1.4G
even uncle Ian get this instead of gettin 6k Canon 50L  icon_idea.gif
not mention it is the biggest 50mm in the market, very intimidating  brows.gif

Ahaha. Agree. I'd love to have that too wink.gif

macro lenses u hardly need CR/VC i think  hmm.gif
n shooting at wide open u can use high enaf shutter speed to compensate d  biggrin.gif

Macro shoot wide open ? blink.gif
Then the DOF will be superb thin. Usually people shoot f/8, f/11, or smaller aperture la sweat.gif

QUOTE(Motormouth @ Feb 3 2010, 09:20 AM)
Need some recommendations here.

I was quoted Nikon D90 (body+kit lens) for RM3920 in a shop in Penang.
Additional 50mm/f1.8mm for RM370.

But the guy who manned the shop recommended me to take the Tamron 17-50mm/f2.8 instead,
and skip the kit lens and the prime. Should I?

But then the price would be slightly higher, about RM5000 for the whole package. Plus a UV filter, I think.

How much does a new Nikon D90 with kit lens cost in KL now?

Thanks.

may i ask.. what the difrent if u set the aperture to f2 in the f1.8 version?
i mean the diffrent between:
35mm F1.8 set in F2
35mm F2 set in F2
*
1 is DX lenses, 1 is full frame lenses.

35mm f2 sharp even at f2 but that 35mm f1.8, sharp at 2.8 and onwards. And most important, a DX lens sleep.gif mehhh

Basically, 35mm f1.8 is for those without AF motor body. If you have AF motor on body, get 35mm f2 flex.gif
