Do you prefer:
1. Manually adjusting the WB to get a natural colour in a place with tungsten or
      - since u will be using flash, ur flash temp will nvr be the same as the tungsten temp. So what would you set?
      - most of the time, you will have the right WB for your subject (foreground) while your background which is not fired by your flash will have a diff WB.....
2. Using color gel
      - Using a flash gel, you can make your flash temp, and the tungsten temp to be the same.
      - setting WB to tungsten, your foreground and background will have the same WB

yeah, depends on how picky you are lo...I dont like my foreground to be ok but background WB off...hehe...i cant imagine to PS it like what u say hehe...painful leh

Btw guys, watch out when buying Lowepros nowadays, i heard there are Imitation ones out there selling for the same price as we got our genuine ones.
I've seen a couple of em, from looks, you'd only be able to tell if you really know the bags inside out and compare almost every single detail.
But in terms of material quality, it feels slightly different.
I shoot using Adobe RGB, but when i work on them, i discard the profile and use my spyder color profile instead...

but u must always remember that jewelry u've gotta do something interesting. otherwise shooting it in just that box will make it look dull. remember play with WB too

That was my first camera too.  Your fathers camera looks like new. Very well kept. No fungus in the lens?

Olympus makes some very quirky camera. The OM-10 has a manual adaptor. A gadget with headphone jack that you stick on the camera. With this thing, you can control the shutter speed. The pro version (OM-2, OM-4) has the shutter speed adjustment at the lens mount. Very different from most other cameras which tend to have shutter speed dials. Actually the shutter speed on the lens mount is easier to adjust provided that aperture ring is at the front of the lens.

The mechanical feel of the Zuiko lens, wow! I don't think any of my Nikkors are even close. But my lens now is like fungus plantation.  Dun know if worth it to send for cleaning.

I'm actually shooting with the OM-1 now! ahaha. but the thing is so old so I have to guesstimate the exposure because the built-in meter isn't working anymore.
