hi, just asking bout the whatsapp ticks, i know 2 ticks mean the receiver had received and read the msgs. but i have this situation: there were 2 msgs with one tick, in between msgs that have 2 ticks.

example: msgs 1,2,3 and 4.
msg 1 has 2 ticks, msgs 2 and 3 have 1 tick, and msg 4 has 2 ticks. is this possible? can the receiver skipped receiving msgs 2 and 3 and straight received msg 4?

how do i cancel sending a msg? is this possible? the msg is still 1 tick, can it be cancelled?

cannot mate, once u sent u cannot cancel it..i think it because the delay on receiving the sms on the receiver part....

I've experienced this situation before. I dont know if yours are same as mine. The reason for mine is i've send few sms thru whatsapp to my friend. In between the few (around 6 i guess), the no 3 and 4 have only one tick. i checked back with my friend and he said he didn't received my 3rd and 4th sms. He said his whatsapp app crashed. The weird thing is after his app recovered, he did not receive my 3rd and 4th sms too. And till today both the sms stand with one tick.

however, the date and time when someone finally gets the msg is the date+time of the sending or the receiving?

imagine your fren only got the 3rd or 4th msgs on the next day, the 3rd and 4th msgs will appear below the 6th msg in his phone and publish the date and time he receives the msgs (which is a later date and time than the 6th msg)

OR

the 3rd and 4th msgs will appear in between the already received msgs and the date and time will be published as per the sending date and time?

The 3rd/4th message will appear AFTER the 5th/6th message in your g/f h/p

That's where most people will get into trouble and need to explain to g/f

Explain = means colouring

However, in your h/p, it will appear in correct 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 order, hence may help in your explanation if your g/f accepts the reasoning

yeah, i always explain to my gf when this happen...he keep blaming me for this..i already told him its becoz of the server n not my fault..

yeah, im facing this also..clearly its the server problem and not our telco problem...haizz....when they going to solve this...

finally, new updates for whatsapp. Hoping for better reliability from this new version.

whatsapp cant handle the volumes anymore. maybe its time to find other alternative like viber. its is frustrating when u paid for it. now the downtime is getting frequent.

+1 agree...but i love to use whatsapp coz its support mane platform....all of my friends now using this app to chat..

Yup. i kinda agree with you bro. Whatsapp cant handle the large amount of volumes anymore. The only way it could manage is to change their server or maybe add additional servers which i doubt this will happen anytime soon. its really frustrating when we user who paid for the app facing downtime more then we could use it.

i use viber too. well, i wouldn't say it is bad but i feel it kinda laggy when u type longer sms. maybe it is only me who experience it.

yup, viber is a bit laggy when u sending long sms..im facing this also mate...

i wouldnt use whatsapp if i need something urgently coz its getting really unreliable. this is when i use sms haha.. or even a call.

Lol.. yeah.. call is better. but whatsapp is nice if u got gf or anybody in oversea. save a lot yo~
