Just downloaded Whatsapps from iTunes into my iPhone 4. But my name does not show on my friend's phone, just my phone number. When I use Whatsapps, they would not know it is me.

Even after uninstalling and reinstalling, still no luck.

Please advise

sometimes your friends need to save your contact number with the country code +6 for us
after saved with country code, refresh the favourites list by dragging down at the very top and letting go to let it refresh
do your friends save your number as 01x-xxxxxxx? or +601x-xxxxxxx?

Hmmm. Tried as recommended. My number is saved correctly but my name does not appear. doh.gif

Any other suggestions?

argh sorry man, the only other way i know is asking your friends to save your whatsapp number under your current contact info in their phone
meaning they see ur message as ur phone number, then click add contact > add to existing contact >your contact
i think that should work, but damn mafarn la...

haha sorry couldn't help more, wait til morning la
i'm sure someone else has had this same problem and found a way to fix it
mine was fixed by making contacts have country code

Maybe you need to ask your friend to refresh contacts on his side. Usually it's nothing to do with your side.

thats the other party problem,either they save wrongly or u register whatsapp using other number that they nvr save.

If in Apple iPhone, i heard its a once pay, no need to pay anymore

Meanwhile for Google Play, its free but requires payment after a year
