pono just miss open goals on big open goal post on big open fields.

well doggy was doggied again... muahaha...
he was at the end of of a stud up two foot challenge ....
Although opponent claim he got the ball everyone knows the statement above warrants a yellow card.
Unfortunately for some emo reasons the referee felt there was intention to hurt the player (shall it put follow through on the tackle) so it became a red card.

BTW the referee wanted to get some water ..... after he awarded the penalty...we mistakely pull him back...

sounds like some one i know ..... and Yes!! the BEast is BACK!!!

I feel for Pono, as long as there's anything related foul, fight and injury, he'd be invariably blamed altho he could be 50 metres away from the scene.

Pono did run into our midfielder and flung him off, conceding a foul. Just another day in the office :-)

Btw the guy did get to the ball first, I was right in front. Somehow took Doggy down along. We agree it should be a yellow for the studs up challenge. But the red was harsh..

Anyhow I thought the game was quite a friendly one, the main trouble was with the cowboy ref instead of between players!

Did doggy scream very loud ?

we lost 0-1 on red cards already.

I know you guys thought by getting the ball first it isn't a foul.
Studs up is a foul with or without the ball.
Because of the contact with the player. it warrants a yellow card. but if referee feels it was any intention in it.. it comes red.

whether got the ball or not is not important. there was serious contact .. regardless of it legal or not.

No arguments against the card or rules, and we all agree that the studs were up. But getting the ball first also gives a strong case that the challenge was not a malicious one. A yellow would have sufficed, especially considering that this is a friendly between 2 amateur teams, and there were no prior rough gameplay by either teams.
