They have two fields there. The main Padang A was absolutely horrible, much worse than UM. But it doesn't really matter coz they are going to close this pitch for maintenance on 2/3 Jan.
The smaller Padang B was in much better condition. However, there are pros and cons: -
Pros1. Pitch is not muddy
2. RM50 only for morning session (1.5 hours) and night is RM200.
3. Can use shower
4. Swimming pool cost RM2 if want to go for post-match rendam
5. Near my office and houseCons1. Pitch is not even (not good for people with dodgy knees)
2. Size is only about 1/4 longer than GIS pitch. (If we were playing MyRawk, this would be a super duper "con" because it will be harder to trap Khai offside)
3. Low fencing on one side of the pitch. If Kang is in the mood for his air shots, we may have to do a lot of climbing and fetching, which is time wasting.
But anyways, I booked the pitch for Jan 2 2010. No deposit was required and payment only on date of the match. We can cancel/postpone any time.
So what do you guys think?
Naz,
You can forget about the Padang B unless you're just in for a extended futsal session in grass while wearing boots. However, i do think its good for practice short passing and ball control, maybe 7 a side game or training. Other than that, forget about it for full fledge football game. Since you already booked it, just let it be. If not enough players, just play 7 a side and practice on ball control and short passing.
On the other hand, you should consider MPSJ stadium. RM500 for 2 hours but this field is super hard to book. And maybe they're close for field repair. And never ever play like shite here coz ALOT of people watches you play due to the morning walks and etc.
Another field is the 3K sports complex near A&W. Very good pitch and i heard its used by the Brazillian football academy. Also not easy to book.
But someone has to try to walk in to enquire. For MPSJ and 3K field, you just need to walk in to MPSJ office to enquire. Naz or James lives nearby, should be no problem for either one of them.
