where got the best pork burgers? so far i've tried cristang, Nambawan, Andes Byo, El Meson and Kissaten. Sad to speak, I hvn't found the perfect one yet. Nambawan is the tastiest among them all but it isn't exactly gourmet. Cristang would be the best when it comes to gourmet.

These are some pork burgers that i'll gladly have anytime;

1) The Hungry Hogs @ SS15
2) Brussel @ Pyramid and Jaya One
3) Betty Midwest @ Aman Suria

I had Fat Boy recently, let's just say I rather eat Burger King & Carls Jr.

So this is the list of pork burgers fellow forumers and I would recommend:

Hungry hogs
Brussel
Betty midwest
Sanbantou
Andes byo
Nambawan
El meson
Cristang

I have yet to try the first three mentioned but so far andes and nambawan are top on my list for cheap and decent taste-wise. Elmeson and cristang lean towards the gourmet side of things but cristang is the better one i would say.

I disagree, el meson burger is tastier than cristang. Better quality meat too. Downside, its expensive.

El meson has a bigger portion no doubt but i find the taste abit too bland and it gets boring, feels like eating a Chillis beef burger.

Kaw Kaw damn dry, I don't know how you people can stand that burger.

Burgerlab tbh, overrated. Nothing special much with average to mediocre services.

The fries are okay though.

I tried myburgerlab last weekend, I don't think I'll ever eat there again.

Before it's even open at 5pm, people are already queuing up already in front of their shop. Five minutes after they opened their doors, the shop is 90% full already. As time pass, more people flocking in & making the restaurant more congested & people are so near to each other. When you're down to the last few bites on your burger, people starting to stand next to you waiting for you to vacant your seat. I don't really feel comfortable eating in that kinda environment.

Plus I wasn't really impressed with the taste either, maybe I picked the wrong burger or maybe the environment made it difficult to appreciate the taste or it could be just too overrated. But they have my compliments for being really unique & creative though.

If I ever gonna try their burgers again, it'll definitely be a take away. Can't enjoy my burger in that kinda environment.

After your meal in Andes, just talk a walk along the 5ft walkway past Kayu until the other end of the shoplot, Betty Midwest is there. You would have burned whatever calories you've gained from Andes laugh.gif
Though it's usually quite full, but I managed to get a seat easily for both times that I went. So I don't feel it's as bad as myburgerlab. Btw, if you do go, try their Dog Food (plz ignore the appetite killer name).

There's a place at Plaza Damas called A Minor Place. It serves one of the best pork burgers I've ever tried. The price is also quite reasonable at around RM 18 (not inclusive of govt tax & serv chrg).

I'd definitely add that place to the list of pork burgers recommended. However, as always, it's down to personal preference of taste buds. rolleyes.gif

Sorry TS, albeit a bit un-related to burgers, I wonder if there are any good joints which serves hot dogs instead, that you guys know of? Still meat between buns, but burgers are more popular somehow!

The main thing is to enjoy the good tasting of the meat itself rather than overpowering it with flavours.

Its like you buy wagyu beef then you go and cook curry. Wasted man. smile.gif

Havent been to el meson in awhile tho, dont know how is the quality now.

Good thing is that although the burger is only sold for lunch set, if you are nice and polite the chef would make you one anytime of the day! rclxms.gif
