my speed is finally capped at 4096 512 but there is no difference betweeen 1024 512 and 4096 512 for me.



My connection to US sites are within 0.09mbps - 0.15mbps
Rapidshare, windows live mail download, youtube, tudou, hotfile, megaupload, all dl speed about 5KB/s - 25KB/s.

My cousin who is subscribing to 512kbps package managed to achieve 60KB/s easily in websites mentioned above. So what's wrong here? My intuition tells me that my line is throttled. it has been happening for 5 years.

Is it possible for me to downgrade my package or even unsubscribe it since I don't get the speed as advertised? It's 11th day since subscribed to 4mbps combo package. I just got my line capped at 4096 512 today.

TM charged me RM88 after I upgraded from 1 Mbps to 4 Mbps under the Super Upgrade Deals promotion, citing on-site fees (called TM to enquire).

Were you guys charged this amount when you upgraded your packages? Is it possible for me to get them to waive the RM88?

It's alreayd the 11th day since my line is activated.

I could get 398 KB/s when I download something from streamyx.com
For other websites I manage to obtain 100kb/s - 200kb/s, not even 40% of 4mbps.

For youtube, rapidshare, megaupload, hotfile and various other, I got constant 5 KB/s - 20 KB/s. I don't know what's wrong, my cousin who subscribed to 512kbps package can download faster than I do in these websites.

From P1 speedometer,

  Download Speed : 1680kbps (210 KB/sec transfer rate) 
  Upload Speed : 337 kbps (42.1 KB/sec transfer rate)
  Latency : 41

Should I downgrade to 2mbps since I always get speed of that range? Don't bother about youtube rapidshare, they are always within 1KB/s - 15KB/s for me in the past 6 years. I don't know why my friends and relatives don't have this problem.

Confirmed this model has issues with 4Mbps line. At least his WAG200G can still be used although capped, mine can't even connect on 4Mbps line.

he only came in the first day and at that time my line is capped at 1024 512. only yesterday it started to be capped at 4096.

The highest speed i can reach is 280kb/s. but for rapidshare, youtube, and most websites. "I can only manage to get average 20kb/s .

the technician just come over and tell me that my line not supported by 4mbps, but everything is set at 4mbps so what should i do now? should i downgrade instead?

the problem is the technician is blaming the contractor for approving, which no ones knows the truth.

It's going to 2nd week from the day the TM guy came to my house to check and activate my 4MB, but yet, the modem still showing 2MB. What the heck that took them so long to update my speed to 4MB!!! 

i been using this model so long time on my 4mb, no issues, firmware 1.01.09

My modem can't use anymore thanks to lightning strike. The modem was given when I subscribed to 4MB, so can I just go to TMpoint and ask them to replace one for me?

Currently got 20Mbps speed at my house area Putra Heights..what happen??called tmnet complained about my 4mb speed and after 2hours it blown to 20mbps...hopefully this will remain...

how long does it take for them to change your IP to 218.XX after got the 4MB package?

Complained to them about slow connection even i already had around 3.5mbps average    and after few calls, about less than a week i got the IP..this is the 3rd day and fell no different so far..
