I can't even subscribe to a 2mbps in my area which is within city limits.

4mbps is just another gimmick by TM which claims to have the WIDEST coverage.

BS..

Like my area here we have ADSL2 G992.3. which support Extended Reach
Even at 8000m 1-2m is achievable.
Max ADSL2 can go is 12mbps/1mbps

Those with attenutation under 10dB can subscribe to speeds of over 16mbps using ADSL2+ without issues.

So why is TM giving excuses that you must be connected to a RDSLAM for 4mbps?

My 4mb is so damn slow. I even checked using tmnuts silly speedometer and it says i am getting less then 80-90%

can i use this to make tmnut give me the ip range i need? Or should i just mail mcmc about it first?

I called them 2 days ago and the technician refused to cap 5mb at port and also give the 115 or 218 ip range (as such i have no ticket number since i get passed onto the useless technician)

should i report mcmc now? Also what should i say besides providing my speedometer screenshot. Will they accept that i need to be 5mb capped and get either 115 or 218 ip range ?

Lazy excuses by lazy people.

Report to their higher level or the correct channels to get your thing.
I know...it's harder to get things done properly here.
Lazy people will always give lazy excuses but they don't know that they can only fool themselves.
They don't realise that doing things properly will save them in future and all the complaints as well as followups.

i called up tm to cap my line to 5mb but they say the dslam port that my house connected to dont have the 5mb profile it is true or he juz wanna fool me?

It is not true and it was they shouldn't be selling 4mbps at all.

They have nothing to lose as your line is still capped by your account itself meaning even if they can offer 100mbps on your phone line, your speed is still stuck at 4m.
