QUOTE(Moogle Stiltzkin @ Apr 17 2010, 11:48 AM) I can confirmed that they increased the speed from 1mb to 2mb. MIRC speed depends on the uploader also. the usualy 100 kb/s became 160 kb/s However my speed on mirc is slow, but torrent is fast using the 115.135.xx.xx ip why is that? You sure it's 2mbps? I get 180-190 KB/s easily on my 1mbps package. 2mbps should get around 250 KB/s. |

QUOTE(Moogle Stiltzkin @ Apr 21 2010, 03:18 PM) Does the law say that international speed must be 90% or is it only local speed within the country ??? anybody know The minimum speed (90%) is for local connection only. It only applies to the connection between your home and TM's server.Later i complain they will say some grandma story that international speed no 90% guarantee :/ This post has been edited by Demonic Wrath: Apr 21 2010, 03:23 PM |

QUOTE(Moogle Stiltzkin @ Apr 21 2010, 03:25 PM) Can i run a speed test to a local malaysia server not necessarily belonging to tmnut, would they accept that for proof if i get below 90% Well, even if you run a speed test to other server, most probably you'll get max speed. But TM will surely tell you to check up on their speedometer.Do we have any consumer protection for international speed :/ ??? The only thing i use local servers for is thestar and lowyat but that is it International speed? "Best effort policy", that's their answer to you. You've even agreed on it when you applied Streamyx. Check your terms and conditions. Yes, although best effort policy originally applies to local connection, now SKMM has ruled that users should get full speed on local servers. If you're not getting, then you can complain. Most likely you can get max speed if you download with multiple connections. But, please be reminded that all our international bandwidth is shared by thousands of users. So, you might or might not get full speed when you're downloading from international servers. Local servers should guarantee full speed though. |

Just activated my 4.0 Mbps account on Wednesday.
But the port still haven't change to 4096.. Now still 2047... According to the installer, there's no information about the distance from my house to the DSLAM because my house is connected using fiber optic. |
