QUOTE(archive @ Dec 30 2009, 12:52 AM) Hooray, I finally got my 4mbps upgrade today after almost 4 weeks. Too bad surfing is slower than 1mbps. I get faster downloads - but only using a download manager (that uses multiple connections to grab single files), but apart from that it takes an absurdly long time to load web pages from all over the world. I'm wondering if it was such a great idea now. Unless u use ur 4 Mbps for downloading it's a great tools Torrentflux + 4 Mbps = Heaven

QUOTE(soulquarianz @ Jan 5 2010, 11:17 PM) agree with you MX510 but no issue with RS or MU which is US based coz i can get constant 550K sometimes up to 600K but to europe have to use MAX connection in IDM to get decent speed of 400k but even that its not consistent (normally around 250k to 400k).... now like regret having this 218 IP, before this i never experience this slow using non premium ip only prob is ping latency is high cannot watch youtube etc.... Trying to go with premium CS getting back normal ip Added on January 6, 2010, 11:33 amRequest being made ipnoc will call today This post has been edited by MX510: Jan 6 2010, 11:33 AM

QUOTE(soulquarianz @ Jan 7 2010, 08:48 AM) think twice before jumping to 218 ip...that ip good for gaming but not good for download IMHO. stick to normal IP if ur heavy downloader. some of us with 218 ip had made request to change to normal ip currently 218 stuck with 250K download whearas normal will get u basic 550K speed. Agreed i have 2 x 4 Mbps one is with 218 and another one with normal ip 115.xxx speed with 115. is much more faster I tried to do traceroute the 218.xxx have lot's of firewalls compare to 115.xxx This post has been edited by MX510: Jan 7 2010, 09:09 AM

QUOTE(soulquarianz @ Jan 7 2010, 10:13 AM) bro MX510, what software you use to get that kind of traffic details? i have WRT54GL but cant find these kind of information in the router. This is connected to my FreeBSD Gateway inside my house it's called RRD Graph I recommended you DU Meter for http://www.dumeter.com/?LangID=EN to measure ur download speed also can plot grapgh for hourly traffic. QUOTE(werksuckz @ Jan 22 2010, 11:42 AM) @aaron your port speed is probably at 2MB, so that will give you 150KBps downloads. I suggest you DON'T upgrade! Yeah if u got 150 kb/sec to 200 speed do not upgrade to 2 Mb unless u go for 4 Mbps then worth it

I have been using 5120kbps for a long time Being optimizing it for 12 hours a day n sometimes 24/7. Now problem is my hardisk every month have to buy another 1TB Quite happy with 115 ip range will not go to premium ip as i can't go this fast even though my modem is set to 5120kbps Done a traceroute manage to see that 218.111. and 218.208 are using different routing which is firewalled Compare to 115.XXX routing is different However my another acc with so known premium IP can also get 124.xxx ip which routing almost similar to 115.XXX routing This is from flux server in Europe
