hw do i stop shrimps from being sucked by the filter ?
i have a top filter, 2 feet tank,
seems its too strong

hi guys,

i would like to try n since i m a beginner i decide to use a small tank.
wud appreciate your advises...

tank : 10 liters
subscrate : ADA
gravel  :  buy from shop
light  :  approx 10W
type of plant  :  wud like to try small carpet plants, eg hairgrass or HC
extra :  tetra nitrate minus, water conditioner

how i set-up :
1. set substrate on bottom of tank. how much shd i put? in inches...
2. rinse gravel n set on top of subsrate, approx 1", is it enough? shd i mix with some substrate to make up 2nd layer?

my questions :
1. filter, how big or how many liters water flow shd i choose for my small tank?
2. i will try to look for Tetra nitrate minus in granule form and spread on 2nd layer of gravel, and then add another layer of gravel. is it ok?

i use the method i found in youtube as i didn't know how, is it ok?
i have not tot of CO2 as i believe my tank is small, shd i also buy CO2?
wat temp shd i keep d water?
ideal ph level?
if i use tap water n just add water conditioner, is it ok?
i intend to just keep a few shrimps in d tank, no fish.

pinch... is that those low grade crs or cherries shrimp can survive around 28 degree ?

woah sorry to hear that bro...happen to me too...first time use pressurized c02 tank and i connect it with the tank and i turn it to max...bomb...the co2 diffuser fly over my neihgbour house and break...luckily not ADA one...

wat u thk? no need gravel? just the layer of substrate will do?

d nitrate minus is to make sure tat food for algae is eliminated so tat algae will not gorw in your tank as said in youtube...

haha... me here in melaka hard have people do custom tank...
so haveto buy those from LFS lo..

low water volume cant be keeping shrimp?
or is it just not so suitable?

by the way, your crs tank poison me le...

3kg gex rm30++ so ADA is better

but ADA soil "break" faster than GEX....rite?? that's wat i heard from ppl

they say Gex soil clears faster than ADA, but the Gex soil i using now the grain size is quite big, and it seems to be abit light, so my plants cant stay in the soil if its just about 1-1.5 inch high

yea ADA amazonia 2 rocks...worth it long term use...if u have the budget just go for it...i use it purely in my tank and mix some powder type in scaping use....^^

Hey guys I need help... I want to have plants in my new 6ft tank but just can't afford to buy gravel to cover its base... Any tips that will make the plants grow well and look nice without gravel?

hey is there any so called high end plant which cause around rm1000++ each?

hmm... how many liter is needed for a 2ft tank?
i heard some said 9L is enough, some said need more...
how about the GEX soil, me here can get those green packing and blue packing.
confuse about both of the usage as the LFS people also intro like a peice of shit...

good morning...exam finished...im coming back home to start my project...woohooo...

1st:get chiller(rm500)
2nd:eheim 2217+media(rm700+-)
3rd:adding ebiten shrimp nutrition...wonder will it be more efficient that mosura brand(rm300)
4th:bring in 20 pcs grade A crs first
5th: wait for a week to observe any death toll
6th:bring in more crs and finally done

cause need to clear all and concentrate on CRS only...
but u have to come to penang cause i dont know how to do postage...
