About the algae, Amano shrimp is another choice.
Shrimps can tahan in the post over 24 hours I believe, But Must be pell packed and insulated... Cherries can breed at 28C. @adrian, it is worth it, also you might have temperature issues using MH.. be reminded when your lighting is stronger, if kpt well, plants grow faster IF not, algae grow faster. @fongzai, i believe you got your answer over at MAC. It's leanign towards your window being a light source.. My lights turn on at 11am-7pm and I don't get such issues lol. most people with an 'additional' light source and odd ON times get such problems.
