Its like that, c02 , when it decompresses, it'll form cold liquid around it...

So, it can be 1 of these few cases. like michanz said, either its going off real fast.. or leaking somewhere untill you dont know..

If got crack arr.. Long time boom already LOL

Try the soap water test if you need to clarify.

For the record, mine does not get cold... only when i purposely release all the c02 inside then it gets cold
Drew

Added on January 25, 2010, 10:21 pmThe cold feelign at the bottom proves that there is c02 there... when c02 is compressed it is in liquid form.. so where is all the liquid? at the bottom lor

After some time, you would need to remove them as they would release the toxins or stuff back.. but there wasnt anything much in your tank to begin with, i doubt you need to remove it.. ( mine has been around since.. 1 year back? )

But yea, the concept is the same as activated charcoal

Activated bamboo charcoal on the other hand is way more expensive LOL..

I just remembered, you wont have to remove if it is activated bamboo charcoal.. it serves as housing for bacteria after the absorbing power is used up.

I support eheims all the way..biggrin.gif

the difference between these MIC and eheim is the fact that you can get the eheim repaired easily if anything is to turn up.. I had a bad experience with a MIC jebo once... it failed and leaked, cannot find spare part some more.. I had to bin that. Got myself a 2236 after that lol.

Reliability is all i can say biggrin.gif

Does those MIC canisters come with warranty ? tongue.gif

thats a puny chiller.. well the flow rate would be reduced significantly.. I personally would go for a 2215 for a 2feeter.. then again.. personal preference

haha Adrian.. Dunt add salt to wound... Mosuras aren't "humble crs" tongue.gif tongue.gif

@blinded,
With that kind of a budget, I bet you could get better.. in terms of the canister.. get any random big MIC canister.. fill it up with good media ( I still support the use of 2215 though lol )

I believe for 2feet , you need CL280 and above.. 150 is err.. PUNY LOL.

Why no c02?

THat's a cory, it does not hunt algae, but more of cleaning your gravel system...

Research, never trust 100% what the LFS tells you biggrin.gif
