Congratulation to iluvena and yhlee

thanks bro. went to rawang together with iluvena to collect the car, but lost sight of him on the way back to kl... cause quite jam inside rawang town, and me n wife took our own sweet time to drive back to puchong via ldp biggrin.gif

Due to long time period of waiting for the Forte, maybe i will consider change my booking to 308Vti....
Not confirm yet, still in consideration.
Reason i really need to car on Jan 2010... I really faced transportation problem when my gf come back from oversea and work at KL.
Called the SA and talked to him about this issue, he also cant promise about the expected delivery date on Forte.

*
i had the same transport problem as urs for the past 2 weeks. got rid of my old car but haven't get new one, that's y kept calling SA almost everyday. wife n i work in different direction from our house... really tension everyday need to drive into kl town after work rclxub.gif

did ur SA tell u what's the problem with ur delivery? after going through my own waiting period n judging from others' experience, i believe as long as u r allocated a car, the rest is just a matter of time... otherwise, it's really kinda like unknown waiting period.

Can any current forte owner do a short review on the 1.6SX performance? Like acceleration (1-100, low speed acceleration, top speed, etc)
*
my ODO meter not yet reach 200... can't really comment much. would suggest u go test drive one.
anyway based on trip back from rawang:

1. 1-100 - didn't really observe how long it took, but it went up to 110 almost effortlessly. didn't notice we were already on 110 on highway just now.
2. low speed acceleration - it's not a light car, so in stop go traffic some times really need to press the accelerator a bit.
3. tyre - a bit noisy. but i've never driven a car with 17' rims so comparison might not be spot on.
4. top speed - hehe.... highway 110 i follow 110 lo... laugh.gif
5. ride - 1st thing to do after coming out from stock yard was to pump petrol and reduce tyre pressure from ~340 down to 220. ride is firm, but not as bad as described by some journalists. i can accept that. not a problem.

1st tank of petrol - pumped in petronas. would have preferred my usual brand i.e. BHP but with an empty tank, no choice laa... pumped in RM 80+ of petrol. will do FC calculation after this tank.

by the way, suggest to call SA and make appointment if u plan to test drive. the puchong branch don't hav cars to test drive during weekdays.

Any possibility to get the car by CNY if i book this month?
*
i wonder whether u'll get the car faster with dealer... since they might have gotten the car rather than waiting for HQ to allocate. just wondering...

Fuel: Esso RON95
Date: 17-18/12/2009
Distance Covered: 294km
Average FC: 7.0l/100km(odo meter)  6.9l/100km(manual calculation) my opinion meter is reliable.

*
my odo meter constantly showing 9.4 - 9.5l / 100km... too much stop start traffic i guess. ldp - jalan puchong - old klang road - jln puchong ldp then back to OKR... full of traffic lights along the way sweat.gif

add a photo of my car smile.gif
