I didn't really get a clear info from them ( they do not have the clear info as well.. just saying we has that option .. and not sure how true is it until someone finally wanted to do that ). Will see how if that day does come.
even if doing the downgrades from 17 to 16, have to make sure they are not replacing with a lousy heavy rim.. or it is wasting effort.
KM replied this in FB:
"But it would be such a waste. OE wheels go through a stringent process. They are tested for radial impacts, side impacts, etc. for safety. We cannot stress this enough, that wheels and tyres are critical safety items. You normally don't get even close to OE levels of quality and safety in aftermarket alloys.
The PCD, bolt or nut 'shoulder' shape (flat, convex or cone), centre-bore diameter and offset is 100% matching to your hubs and your steering geometry. Get the offset wrong and your car will be horrible to drive, with the steering kicking back every time you encounter an irregular road surface.
The manufacturing cost of OE wheels are also usually higher than garden variety aftermarket ones, and any mishap may affect warrantable items on your car so you should consider this before changing."
