Everyone , here is my problem . Im Using Hotlink Prepaid , Yesterday 11 o'clock , i topup Rm5 . Then , i play games not connected with internet at all . after that , i go sleep . then i wake up . n check my balance left Rm1.75 . i never using msg or call . so what i must do now ? Please Let me Know how to solve this prob =(( . im using bb bold , tour , javelin . i didnt face this prob before =((

I think if you turn off the EDGE function, you might facing call drops problem like my friend did.

He was a 'M' prepaid user and he off the EDGE function (to save cost) after jailbreak his 3GS , since then his calls always suddenly drop or disconnected. And he was being advised by the service provider to change to post paid package with free data usage.

What me and my friend understanding is, this local service provider enable the EDGE function just to strengthen the signal, but I don't why, as neighboring country's service provider no need to do so, and, the most important, their iPhone battery usage are longer than ours iPhone here.

since maxis are the authorize dealer for iphones, the APN settings for Maxis are now automatic. means it configures your APN settings automatically. and the problem lies when u cant change the APN settings when ure on maxis simcard

this is one method that one of the forumer use and im not sure if it works or not... but u may try
1. change ur sim card to Digi or Celcom
2. go to APN settings
3. put some rubbish password
4. change to your maxis sim card back
5. and then see if there is any difference....

if im wrong plz correct me...

and @sira, if u can afford to use postpaid, better use it to max ur usage of ur iphone....

He is angry, as many of us are because of the constant spoon feeding people ask for when they come into the forums.. with the new influx of IPhone users, there are more and more posts like yours coming in.. opening a new thread just to ask "their-oh-so-important" question.. when, if you bothered to look at the threads you will find a proper place to file your question in.

Not targeted at you, but some have said they are busy.. etc etc.. no time to look.. etc etc.. well then.. find the time when you are free and look.. it kinda sucks for the mods that they have to come here everyday and close down threads for asking questions that have been answered when the thread poster can't be bothered to look for the information themselves..
